I think we've established that rockstar is a very poorly managed company. They probably just forgot to change the date.

Steam is also pretty buggy as well, so it could be human error, or it could just be Steam being wonky.

 

Either way, I wouldn't read too far into it.

Poorly managed...and yet they make the highest grossing game series of all time.

I'd just like to see them handle things a little better.

 

 

That might be because you can't see what they're actually doing and how great it works for them.

 

Proof of this is how you all keep blaming this on Rockstar and how they're poorly managed. Why?

 

Why Rockstar? They're not calling the shots. Sure, Take Two said a bunch of things about how they "let Rockstar do their own thing", but they still have to go with whatever TakeTwo wants.

 

Seriously whatever nonsense people can tell about how "it's not good for business how they treat their customers", the truth is, it really is.

 

The game didn't left the top steam seller since January, worse position i've seen it in that list since then might be like 7th.

 

Does that work great for us, though? Of course not, it's nothing but despair and frustration.

 

But why should they care as long as business works the best possible? It's not their problem.

 

They have a monopoly here, they got us by the balls. Nobody else is going to make another game like this, so all we can actually do despite our threats of "no buy" or "buying it on sale" (as if any dev/publisher was loosing money during steam sales instead of making huge profits), all we can actually despite all that is suck it up and deal with it.

But they are very poorly managed. Take-Two is actually their saving grace. I don't think any other publisher would let Rockstar carry on as they have for so long.

offtopic :Just started playing Assassins creed rogue gotta say they did a good job in optimizing the game,I Could play at High at 1080P at 60fps most of the time (min 50fps) didn't experience any framerate drops like FAR CRY 4.

No, they didn't. Game running well =! optimized. The graphics are dumbed down, they aren't even on the same level of AC3 from 3 years ago. There's also jack piss for graphics options, and only an FXAA option. That's not optimized, that's just dumbed down graphics. Far Cry 4 is 500% more advanced in the graphics department than Rogue is.

 

This faulty "totalbiscuit definition of optimized" is nutsacks.

Your definition of "optimized" is false. Dumbing down graphics to make a game perform better is not optimizing. It looks good, but it's still behind AC3 from 3 years ago, and not optimized.

 

No offense, but you're the kind of person developers should *not* be listening to when looking for optimization feedback.

Countdown is inconsequential. Lot's of games on Steam don't have a countdown and release on schedule.

You can think about a thousand hypothetical reasons, but you'll never be able to confirm anything since you're not inside Rockstar...

It could be the stupid polish thing, it could be console sales, it could be the Sony/M$ paying, the game could be not ready yet, Heists?

Who f*cking knows, each option has less probability than another, but still, you will never be able to confirm anything.

 

These discussions about why they delayed get even more useless at each day. It happened we can't go back, we probably will never know the real reason...

All we can do is struggle to wait till the damned 14/04, and hope this is our last date so we can finally sit the f*ck up on our chairs and play it, after 3 f*cking years.

 

AC Rogue looks great btw.

Graphics are the same as BF. You guys can't tell the difference cuz ACR is placed in Arctic which is less colorful and blueish. It has full of snow, glaciers and white ice. Whereas BF had beautiful Caribbean vegetation and the greenish blue ocean which really looks cool. And that is why BF LOOKS a bit better thanks to its colorful world.

To be fair, AC Rogue was a budget game made by a side studio to just fill in the gap for the PS3/360 players who didn't upgrade, the PC version is just a slightly spruced up version of that, so of course it's not going to have as much time and effort put into it like a mainline game, Rockstar did the same with LCS and VCS on PSP/PS2, graphically they were both a step down from what they did from San Andreas, but were cheap ports to do, hell, they didn't even bother updating the textures BACK to PS2 quality on half of VCS!

IDK, entire series run great for me. I didn't have any those "monster" glitches in Unity, but of course I know I don't have monster PC anymore, so I was playing on High instead Ultra. I guess people forget to change to lower settings if their PC can't keep it up (but of course there were NPC bugs, but which game doesnt have bugs?). I guess to many peasants came to PC world (not saying you are).
