They actualy plan to announce a new title this year. I hope it's RDR with a PC version I won't see until summer 2021 or later

That being said, I think today is a very logical day to expect news regarding Heists, seeing as today is a tuesday and heists drop next week tuesday. I wouldn't hold my breath expecting PC news today, or for a few weeks really.

Please no. NO! Just NO! If it's RDx, then we'll not get a PC version for it surely cuz RDx is a console franchise. I want them to release Bully 2! Then PC players will have something to play after GTA V.

You know Ash, I agree with most of the things you said especially about the older games (where are the classics Rockstar?), something must be done about this issue soon. lets just not forget that before the 17.september Rockstar was in much worse condition comparing to nowdays. I think that from here we should see only progress (I really hope). one more thing ; do you think that the whole story with PC release of gta v (petition etc..) didn't change a thing? I think that things did move we just didn't realize yet how.

Well it's not like they hold a grudge against PC gamers or something... They run a business. And if they can make profit from a PC version of RDR, they will definitely consider it. Or at least that's what I like to think.

 

Maybe five years ago they weren't so sure, maybe GTAV will help change their mind this time around... Who knows. All we can do is wait and watch.

Yes, and I think because of this, they'd have to completely remake it from scratch if they were to make a remaster/remake/port of it.

This is my opinion: Could they treat PC better? Yes, absolutely. But do they have a grudge against PC? No. Whatever the reason Red Dead never made it to PC, whatever the reason is behind the long wait for GTA V on PC, it's never been because they have a "grudge" against PC. It's purely business decisions on their part.

Apparetly...Rockstar does not look at PC gamers as customers or they would not get treated like they have.

If they didn't look to us as customers then we wouldn't be getting any games from them at all. Ever.

 

There's no denying that they could treat us better than they have done but to say they don't see us as customers is a ridiculous statement to make that makes little sense to me.

I think you only read the portion that he quoted. I said as long as there is money, R* should have no problem porting the game to PC. Maybe five years ago they had doubts with piracy, maybe they weren't so sure about the sales (I read somewhere that they were not expecting RDR to sell that good, even on consoles) and they just decided not to take that extra effort.

 

But as we've seen for the past month, GTAV has been going strong on steam even with all the delays. I think this time we will show R* that yes, PC is also a strong platform sales wise and they should consider releasing all their future games on PC.

 

And with the amount of money they make with each game, I don't think they care that much about that 'bad blood' thing you're talking about.

 

Now I hate R* with all my gut because of this whole 'GTAV PC' fiasco. But come to think of it, I can't do anything about it because for PC gamers, it's a 'losing battle' against R*.

It is actually a bit shocking since Red Dead Revolver used the Angel Games engine used in games like Midtown Madness 1 and 2 (which were PC only hits).

 

@The Algerian: It ended up being a R* game after Capcom sold the franchise. It was finished and sold by Rockstar.

gta v: rage::phBound

 

surely code changed a lot but RAGE still has compatibility for calling 'capsule' bounds 'hotdog' in .bnd files as they were called back in MTM2... also R* Table Tennis proves that RAGE ran on the PS2 at one point, or slowly transitioned from PS2 to Xenon...

But Rockstar developed it to which is known as Red Dead Revolver

Rockstar don't need to keep their customers happy because they know that their games are some of the best on the market.

Even after 3 delays, many people don't cancel their pre-order and the ones who did will probably end up buying it later. By the way, if they didn't consider us as customers, they wouldn't even bother developing the game.

Besides, they're a company, they don't owe us anything. It's not like we're in situation to demand anything from them.

The only thing we can do is we can either buy the game or not, but most of us will keep coming back after every delay anyway, because their games are just that good.
