Play at high res for once, at high fps.

So I bought a big pc, play more, with my feet up,

and I thought it would be awesome like all the other pc games.

The graphics, would be like Crysis 3.

We'd play at high fps, no rage because of lag...

But, well, you know the release date...

The story of this comment is quite funny, to be honest. It stems from the first GTA V trailer, as you could guess. Now, the GTA V PC subreddit recently had this comment copied from the original comment on the trailer, which is 2 months old. And then we have this lad who further copied it over from the subreddit. Cute little story.

He asked about a power supply. With 850W you'll have plenty of juice to spare, just make sure you get a PSU from a decent brand, Corsair, Seasonic, Antec to name a few, avoid generic ones.

Never heard of this brand before, did some research, and looks like these are some cheap PSU.

I would not recommend them.

Which is a planning error, since you burn lots of unneeded power, especially in idle.

In fact with a modern Intel i7 and a GTX 970 it is not only a little but grossly oversized.

But maybe in Portugal electricity does not cost anything, I don't know about that.

This thread isn't only about GTA V and Steam for a long time ago. Andreas tried to put this thread on the rails for several times, but even him couldn't do it, then he left. I'm actually surprised that people haven't started a religion discussion here yet...

 

Who is to blame? The members? No, R* is the reason for this thread serving as a battleground times by times for the "Yay team" and the "Nay team"... Well, the entire PC section feels like a battleground with their unmeasurable delays and the lack of informations that leaves everyone here crazy. Let's see if R* won't disappoint us again at march.

it is matter of rockstar keeping us in the dark and delaying the game too much. we have nothing left to talk about specifically about steam and the gta v on pc. so do we close topic and just ignore it until news comes or do we talk on things that are almost on topic? that's all we can do

ik news about the PC version have been short but thats no reason to come to this thread and talk about PC builds

Im not trying to change anything here, just reminding the new ppl to read the title of the thread instead of just posting random stuff completly out of context

like its ok if u come ask if ur PC can run GTAV, but that guy came ask if his build was good, not for GTAV, not for a specific game, just to know what to buy to build up a PC, this is no Game-Debate

This thread always has been and always will be the 'PC General Chat' thread.

 

We never started one, the mods keep an eye on it and since everything runs ok, it got left like that. Now there seems to be an agreement that if something needs its own thread from this discussion, it gets it and this carries on as a general chat channel.

 

So this is all our fault, not R*, not the mods, our fault. As not one of us thought to start a 'PC General Chat' thread.

 

Now, back to babbling for me.

By the way, for those who have Dying Light and could play it nicely at least on low - you're gonna have a great time running GTA V

Personaly, I played through the whole game at 35 fps low/medium on a laptop. That's my evidence of running GTA perfectly

Dying Light doesn't have a vehicle system with calculated paths for pedestrians and vehicles... and is... a completely different game that runs on a completely different engine... You can't base your Dying Light benchmark on how well V will run. LOL what kind of analysis is that anyway?

 

I'd recommend getting a PC not a laptop if you're gonna play V... Otherwise your should run it at a steady 30 FPS at 1280x720 and low/med settings...
