  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

Because your an asshole about it, calling people who disagree with you delusional and trying hard to make people believe that R* is literally Hitler

Maybe if people didn't blindly fanboy for this company I wouldn't have a problem with people. Instead then all my anger and disappointment would be directed at Rockstar only. It's when people say stupid sh*t that defends them even when they are being bent over and taking it deep, that's when I lose it.

Shouldn't expect better from this place though. I should know by now what you butt buddies are all about.

You should better quit this Forum then...

There are couple other forums in which you can discuss this same topic + PC.

So you aren't going to read "stupid fanboy sh*t".

Or you can stay here and complain more and more about the people.

Did you get that Steam gift? Can it be trusted?

Yes,for sure.I've waited maybe 15-20minutes.85bfc4383471367.jpg

To all budget-buyers:

I don't get it. GTA is the best game-series ever. Everybody on this forum is a fan and we all know the game will be good. Why would anyone want to take risks and save just a couple of bucks. If you really did not have any money to spare, you would be a console gamer for sure. The pc to run a game like GTA V is too expensive for really poor people.

Trying to save money is nice, so do it on all the bad games or other things in your life. Just not on the game you wait years for and will play for years to come.

If you were poor you would be a console gamer....

LMFAO you dont know sh*t about console gaming if you honestly think this. On average console gaming cost 600-900 a year not counting the initial console purchase which can be appx 800-1200 counting controls and HDD etc etc.

PC gaming cost like 300 a year not counting the price of your comp the "average" comp costs like 1000-1200.

The price of games and the fact you burn through controls like every 4-6 months pushes console gaming prices through the roof. The companies know this and thats why controls cost the price of a game.

Maybe you should try things before you carry on about sh*t you clearly know nothing about.

As for GTA being the best gaming series ever thats subjective and with all the f*ck ups of gta 4 on PC and gta 5 on consoles I would say they have fallen from grace

The system is more geared towards low income people who already have a TV don't want the initial investment in a good pc+display+input.

None of them realizes, it costs more in the end and gives you less :p

WTH is this post?

Console gaming can absolutely be done a LOT cheaper than the prices you mentioned. It depends on where you live and what services are on offer, but if you say $400 for a PS4 or XB1, at least in the states you can still rent the newest games from Gamefly (10 bucks a month) and buy only used games or clearance priced games. There's no reason why anyone needs to spend the amount you state if you want to console game on a budget. Its perfectly easy and you miss nothing. The newest consoles all come with a controller and HDD lol.

Your PC prices are also completely out of control. I can take half of the budget you quoted and build a PC that would CRUSH either of the newest consoles and any PC gamer serious about the hobby will build his/her own rig anyway. And a PC gamer doesnt have to buy any games if they want to be a pirate. I do agree though, that in general PC gaming is cheaper than console gaming simply with the amount of sales and things like bundles, but theres always ways to save money in gaming whether your choice is PC or console. I choose PC because I have more flexibility with the platform and while I have missed out on games I really would like to play, 95% of the games I want hit PC anyway. The only thing I really feel Im missing out on is the NHL series and occasional things like The Last Of Us.

I also disagree with your last point. Nothing to do with whether or not GTA is "best gaming series" (that is absolutely subjective), but IMO Rockstar redeemed themselves immeasurably with their most recent PC offering (Max Payne 3), and its also important to note that GTA IV PC is over 6 freaking years ago. A lot has changed. The fact alone that 5 has such generous recommendations leads me to believe that this is going to be an excellent PC title. If the requirements were more in line with something like Assassin's Creed Unity, I'd be much more worried.

Who the hell "burns through controls every 4-6 months"? Andre The Giant? I use a 360 controller on my PC that I've had since 2007 that still works fantastically and I use it almost every day lol and I still own most of my old consoles (NES, Genesis, 360) and all have the same controllers that function as they did out of the box. They may just be a little dusty now.

Where I come from (NZ) a new XBONE costs like 6-700 alone not counting controls or anything like that. I dont know what kind of HDD they come with either but I had to buy a new HDD for my 360 when I got it as I wanted to play GTA and it came with a 4 gb -.- HDD lol. As for the PC prices I just built a new one and it cost me 2k but that includes a $350 keyboard and $150 for a new head set. I was using a lappy so I already had a naga anyways.

On pirating its just as rampant in console if you know what to do and where to look. I know people with hundreds of games all pirated only thing is that they brick your console so you cant play online but with the old consoles you just pick up a $20 broken one and replace the broken parts and crack it.

On your last point R* falling from grace is just as subjective as "GTA the best gaming series ever". Im not saying they are sh*t but at the same time I have lost a lot of respect for them as a major gaming company

I just like typing essays. And fair point about currency conversion, I can understand that.

You spent what you felt was necessary for you. Others don't need to spend that much to be happy. You can easily build a PC on a budget that will kill a console though. You dont need to spend thousands to do it, obviously you may depending on currency lol.

Except we're talking current generation in respect to piracy. The PS4 and Xbox One have yet to be hacked. You can't play pirated games on them yet although yes, the games can be found, but cant be played and I think its just a matter of time before thats possible but at the moment, its not. The 360 and PS3, obviously you can. Its definitely not as easy pirating on a console though espc if it requires chip soldering and all that malarkey.

I dont disagree with you about Rockstar as I dont consider them to be some great gaming nirvana, but I don't see a point in holding a 6 year old game against them. They blew GTA IV in a big way, but Max Payne 3 was a resounding success whether you like the game or not. Technically, its awesome and thats not subjective. You can measure a game's technical performance. GTA IV was horrid. Max Payne 3 was far from. And its a lot easier to infer what GTA V should be like based on its requirements. They're extremely generous considering similar games. That tells me that they've gotten the optimization down and learned from past mistakes. GTA IV was their worst PC game ever. There's no reason to think (so far) that it will happen again.

Yeah I agree about the new consoles but TBH I dont even think they are worth the cash drop at all. Also Im not saying GTAV will be bad like GTA 4 was Im just saying they are not the gaming gods like some people here seem to believe.

1 more thing. Thanks for being able to get your pointr across without turning this into a flame war. Good day to you sir +1

Well at the moment I have the physical copy of GTA V on pre-order from Amazon for £35. I am debating about whether to cancel that and pay an extra £5 for a digital copy on Steam. I would like to have it on Steam but the Rockstar Warehouse deal seems better seeing as they are offering a game of choice as opposed to Steam only offering San Andreas (which I already have a physical version of). Had Steam offered a game of choice too I would have had no hesitation in pre-ordering from them but now I am in something of a quandary.

Hey guys, I'm considering canceling my Amazon pre-order so I can get it on Steam instead, what do you guys say?

I'd like to have a physical copy, but when it comes down to it, I'd also like to have all my games in one place along with the achievements, screenshots and such.

a copy would be nice but it still ends up in your chest of drawers after some time.... and don't forget DVDs are already an obsolete medium for storing PC games

You guys better watch out before buying from Lafush 'cause you'll might end up having your GTA V removed from library without a single warning if you are buying from suspicious places.

P.S: I'm NOT forcing any of you to stop buying from him! - I'm throwing a warning only!

Yeah, I had thought about how many DVD's it would take, along with the fact that I'd end up losing it or something.

If I want a physical copy, I could just find a box to the game and stick a copy of "Shrek" or something inside it.

You can print out the original box art, put it onto an empty DVD box and then just put inside a piece of paper with your steam account credentials. lol

I'd like to have a physical copy, but when it comes down to it, I'd also like to have all my games in one place along with the achievements, screenshots and such.

a copy would be nice but it still ends up in your chest of drawers after some time.... and don't forget DVDs are already an obsolete medium for storing PC games

Yeah, I had thought about how many DVD's it would take, along with the fact that I'd end up losing it or something.

If I want a physical copy, I could just find a box to the game and stick a copy of "Shrek" or something inside it.

You can print out the original box art, put it onto an empty DVD box and then just put inside a piece of paper with your steam account credentials. lol

Better: Steam allows you to backup games, just burn it to a DVD/BL and use it as your physical GTAV :)

What's with the "tiers"?

That's the Tiers you have:

https://steamdb.info/search/?a=sub&q=Grand+Theft+Auto+V+Pre-Purchase

What I think is that Tier-1 is the Pre-order bonus included.

After 1st February it will turn to Tier-2.

That Israel guys good for business builders,money-makers it's an DNA inheritance, trust me

looking that in his library Jesus christ!

The funny part is that i know that even if i have x1000 copies of the game i will sell it - soon or later --> THIS IS GTA :D

I am just trying to be nice and offer you guys the best price i can offer so everyone can be happy! ^_^

But SHOULD I wait for the second tier?

Tier-2 will probably not have the Pre-Order Bonuses ($1.3Mil In-game + GTA:SA)

1.3M is only if you order directly from the Rockstar warehouse, if you buy from steam itll be only 1M.

Steams Tier 1 has 800k online and 500k offline. That = 1.3m.
