I think it's up to retailers to decide if they'll sell Steam keys or Warehouse keys.

However I don't know if Rockstar is messing up everything..

They'll sell Warehouse keys because there's more margin for profit. That's why GMG managed to do 23% off and Nuuvem 10% off. They take that off their cut.

so, i talked to the nuuvem support, wich sells the R* Social Club key, not the steam version, and they confirmed that the download for that version will be trough the Rockstar Warehouse, also they told me that they dont have any plans or info about ever getting steam keys for this game even in the future afther release, so the same can be presumed about gmg. So looks like the only way to get the steam version will be trough steam forever, :c

 

PD: Nuuvem sells mostly steam keys.

this time, the download version (non-steam) and box key will be activated through RGSC only ...makes sense . If you want to have the steam version then buy on steam

Which is bullsh*t because literally every other game out there that is on steam, can be bought FOR steam on any etailer site on the net. Rockstar are the only company out there who are currently being so f*cking greedy that they will not let resellers sell anything but their key. Why are people okay with this. This is anti consumer practice.

And a REALLY ancient game is selling well on Steam, the remake of a more than 10 years old game. Resident Evil HD Remaster

I really don't see a big difference between having the Warehouse and the Steam version, most in game and friends interaction will require RGSC in-game client, Steam will end up more like an Add-On IMO

Whatever makes you sleep at night, but if you look at any upcoming non-steam game you will find that it is very difficult/impossible to find steam keys, because they aren't available.

Also, people saying that this is an old game, geez, is GTA a COD title which tend to last only one year and then is "outdated" because there's a new one?

Is each GTA title not huge enough to not be considered outdated only a year after the original release?

We're talking about GTA here, GTA IV isn't "old", GTA SA isn't "old", GTA III isn't "old", they both still have a great value. Yes you won't pay 60 bucks

for them, but you're far from being ripped off if you buy one of these for 10 bucks, or even 20 for IV.

It takes few years to get a new GTA title, if you think it's "outdated" only a year after release.. then damn, that's why it is best played on PC, at least you'll have fun with mods.

I do not consider GTA V/Online outdated, I haven't played it and I don't give a flying f. if some others did, the game WILL BE THE SAME for me, which means a new discovery and hours of fun. The story won't change, and the Online

will have all the updates ready. If you bought the game already, then it is about you, not the game. We all know the experience will be different on PC, whether you bought it already or not.

Your memory seems a bit short to me, the pc version was supposed to come out in fall 2014...so yeah, it's a 8 weeks delay, which is not so bad, problem is it's coming after another 10-12 weeks delay (depending what fall months you insert into the "equation").

I really wouldn't call GTA V an ancient game. It's not a new game, on LAST GEN. It's still a new game on current gen AND PC's.
