I have and idea what if we don't do anything and don't say another word about gta v pc maybe they might be worried that the game is no longer current on pc release the sys specs.

Nope....

 

It will open when the official announcement is on the Newswire. That is generally thought to be at some point this week.

"GTAV will be coming to PC on January 27th. No changes to this date have been announced yet."

 

Its highly unlikely, now, that the game would be delayed.

 

I believe that it is coming out on 27th Jan, Steam as well as Physical...

TBH, these days, physical copies just don't make as much sense, everything is digital these days and Steam is a great platform to download PC games from, so it would be silly of R* to hold back the Steam version...

Some of you may remember that I had GTA IV PC a week before it was available (on disc), so I assume that we will get official confirmation of the specs at least a week before release when the retailers have it on their shelves for pre-order.

LOL absolutely not. There is no reason whatsoever to even think this.

 

Its pretty obvious that they're waiting until as late as possible to make it available for pre-order on Steam, but that shouldnt be a surprise. They make more $ per direct sale than they do on Steam since Valve takes a cut on every sale. There's no reason to rush the Steam pre-order. Its not a game that needs their advertising. GTA will sell no matter what. As long as its up early enough for pre-loaders (4-5 days), there's nothing to worry about.

 

The chance of them delaying the Steam release date is literally 0. If they even tried that, Valve would pull the game. Valve doesn't play around with stuff like that as then they would lose money. Ubisoft tried some sh*t a few months ago with their 3 big releases (Unity, Far Cry 4, and The Crew) and Valve pulled them for a brief period of time because of it.

 

As long as the game isn't delayed (and I dont think theres any reason to worry about that or believe it will be) it will be available on Steam on the 27th.

There is no Daying Light and Raven's Cry. DL will be released 27 Jan in USA and 30 Jan in Europe. RC 26 Jan. So I guess Steam grant access to press account when the game already released.

I saw a mod in another thread mention that "There is a 50% chance of a delay, 50% chance of it releasing on the 27th". This is what I have to say to that mod:

 

Don't feed the delay stuff. There is no "50% chance". Rockstar have maintained that the release date is January 27. They've said *nothing else*. There is nothing to suggest a delay. You're just feeding this ridiculous "theory" created by people wearing tinfoil hats with no substance, no shred of evidence or truth to it. Rockstar is ALWAYS quiet. ALWAYS. They create HYPE from SILENCE, and they're REALLY good at it. There is, I repeat, NO "50% CHANCE OF DELAY". I'm surprised and a little shocked to see a mod of "GTAForums" saying that kind of stuff. It's kind of ridiculous.

 

I also must point out, no rules have been broken in this post. It's completely within the rules. I'm not insulting anyone in any way. I am stating completely fact based things.

Sad and good news today coming from Rockstar. It seems Amazon and Gamestop were right. The highly anticipated PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV has been delayed shortly. The new release date is now December 2, 2008. The good news? Rockstar has released the official system requirements for Grand Theft Auto IV.

Minimum System Requirements

• OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
• Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
• Memory: 1.5GB
• 16GB Free Hard Drive Space
• Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900

Recommended System Requirements

• OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
• Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz

It seems the specs that were posted on the Games for Windows website a couple of months ago weren't too far off.
