What did Rockstar Games do back in the time with the system requirements & other announcements/news with GTA IV for PC?

 

If they did the same with GTA IV i guess it is all for a reason, to build up a massive hype so that people talk about the game before it is released.

if the pc version sucks, in my case i wont buy, if the pc version is good, i will buy at day one
we need to show that pc players are like the console ones or even better which will make Rockstar next time make PC a more higher priority

It's safe to say that things are going to be interesting soon. They have to talk about the PC release next week, as there isn't really any other option. We have reached a point where it is extremely unlikely that Rockstar would let the forthcoming week go by like any other week, without any news on their next big release. I doubt they will save the news, no matter if it's good or bad news, for the very last week before January 27.

They HAVE to finally give us info

 

I'm guessing January 12th - 16th = requirements + screens

 

January 19th - 23th = some videos about PC exclusive features, video editor etc.

 

and finally a PC launch trailer on 26th, day before the release (just like they did with Max Payne 3)

If the PC version will be good and optimized (Max Payne 3 optimization level) + have at least few neat PC exclusive features + be noticeably improved over the consoles graphics/content-wise, then we can partially cleanse R* from sins they commited against PC gamers.

 

But still, 1,5 year wait for PC version after initial PS3/X360 release was f*cking INSANE

 

The wait better be worth it...

second, I "ACQUIRE" games a lot but GTA 5 is not on my list, I'm gonna buy a copy to put proudly in my Steam library
