The ''Store or CD key'' description has never been on a Rockstar game before, and that description can be found on several games that are on Steam regardless if you buy through retail or steam itself.

 

* Everything really points to the 13th of January being the date when we'll get some news and information. It's two weeks before launch and is on a Tuesday. Also worth to note, the Resident Evil remake was just made available for pre-order on steam along with the system requirements, and that game launches in 10 days. Rockstar has a history of teasing us like this, so this is nothing new.

 

* The game will be available for pre-order on Steam as soon as the system requirements hit, or slightly after. There will be no pre-order option before we've gotten the system requirements.

 

* The game will launch as exepcted on 27th of January, perhaps along with heists even.

 

* This will be my favorite game ever and i will put thousands of hours into it. R.I.P Real Life.

So far no mention of nvidia GameWorks, but I think it's safe to assume that Rockstar partnered with Nvidia, just as they did with Max Payne 3.

I don't see a reason not to, since most of the gamers use NVidia cards anyway.

It has already been confirmed by the cd-key resellers that their keys will not work on Steam. And "CD Key" on steam is just another way to say "Serial Key", doesn't mean it comes with a CD. Just see Binding of Isaac https://steamdb.info/app/250900/subs/It's a digital only game.

And we still haven't seen any credible proof by these cd-key resellers that that is the case, really. Just empty words.

 

Fair point about Binding of Isaac and all that, but it could still mean that the CD Key for GTA V is to be activated on Steam.

I was actually the one that posted this way before the neogaf post.

 

 

 

 

 

sh*t can change at the last minute. This is R* we're talking about. The PC base is merely a fraction of the gaming community, which is sad. R* won't loose much even if nobody buys future GTAs on PC.

On that one you are wrong... for big companies losing 1% of their future sales = somebody is getting fired.

 

Is the same with tv shows. If they can make anything to raise ratings 1% they will do it. If you do something that lowers their rating 1% you get kicked out or you get a nice warning from the producers letting you know you better fix it and quickly or your career is gonna end up like a pancake.

 

Dont let a single drop fall to the floor when milking the money cow or you gonna be in some serious sh*t.

Hmmmm that makes sense man. So what do you think? Will GTA V PC be smooth?

 

If is gonna be smooth of a piece of crap only time will say. They will release it, lot of people will buy it, most of them will pre-order on steam, amazon or some other website. Meaning you will not be able to get a refund if the game turns out to be a messy unoptimized piece of crap. So after they make the sales and earn the money who cares about the rest.

 

If things gets to ugly with PC gamers next games they will focus only on consoles and will not waste time making PC versions, you cant lose money where you havent put any money.

 

After GTA 4 they need to make a very good PC version of GTA 5 or they will lose most of their "buyers" for future PC games.

 

Im still hoping they will release a well optimized gta 5 by jan 27. If not im the first to jump off the R* boat forever.

That site is covering it's backside as the postal delivery service for retail copies is not the greatest. So it has given itself a day's extra cover for the harder to reach corners.
