Resident Evil remake preorders are now open in steam, game releases on the 20th, so that's about a 1 week and 3 days. Is a week and 3 days before release a safe estimate for gtav preorders as well?

I would say one week. They might not even open pre orders on Steam though.

I'm being ultra selfish, but i kinda hope they delay the game by a week or so because I have exam on the 27th ;-;

How do you guys know it is not a port? On Russian sites there were rumours that the Alpha-version of the game was ported to PC from Xbox 360, so this actually is a port

"On Russian sites" part perfectly explains if it's true or not. Come on man, how some Russian website could even know something about a port.

I'm not saying it's a trash as we're both from the same country. At the same moment, I don't know enough truthful sources in Russia that could share that info, especially considering that no one else from leading news websites published something about an X360->PC port.

I'm not even saying about the lack of any logic in that port, considering that porting from XOne/PS4 would be much easier due to x86 architecture. Think about that.

 

all of the console versions were made on pc just downgraded ..think about that, seriously though pc has been in development since 2012 alongside consoles, in terms of graphics settings "last gen was low quality setting and current gen is medium to high"

These have been up for months now. Many of these places assume things. Yesterday a couple of them (G2A and Kinguin) sent out emails that they would not be providing Steam keys for the game.

 

I think if anyone is thinking of purchasing from one of the "unauthorized" key shops, its best to wait and make sure you're getting a Steam key if thats what you want. They probably can't even answer definitively yet as its highly unlikely that Steam keys have even been generated for the game (if they will even exist) yet. To add, I've purchased games from some of these places (G2A and CJsCDKeys) and have NEVER had a problem with them, no deactivated games, etc. so I think its a minimal risk to purchase from them, but this particular game has too many unknowns right now IMO to consider purchasing from them.

 

If the boxed game is not Steam redeemable as it seems at this point, then its highly unlikely the Steam version will be able to be purchased outside of Steam. This is by Rockstar's design and its how companies with their own platforms (i.e. Ubisoft with uPlay) do business. IE if I want Watch Dogs on Steam, I can only get it on Steam. Anywhere else I buy it will be a uPlay version. I still have to use uPlay even if I have the Steam version anyway, just as if Rockstar are doing similar I will have to use Social Club with the Steam version of GTA 5.

 

Bottom line: Wait for more information and dont assume that the information is correct on these sites right at this moment. I imagine that within 7-10 days everything will be clearer.

 

 

I think that GreenManGaming, GamersGate and NewEgg will offer Steam keys, they're mentioned on V order page so it would be strange if you had to find retail game to activate key after buying even from them...

• Holds 40-50 FPS on i5 4670K @ 3.6 GHz and 970, maxing out all settings except AA
• Described graphics options as "similar to those in GTA IV", you have your view distance slider etc
• There seems to be some mouse acceleration and the key bindings are a little off (while you press "up" to access your phone, after you enter the camera stuff you need to press "c" to exit the mode, which is a little confusing)
• He couldn't try MP yet, but it doesn't seem to do anything differently than PS4/XBO versions, has the same player cap
• The video editor is tons of fun, the same as in IV, you have a ton of songs from the game to choose from, although not all of them
• You can type numbers on your phone with keyboard keys
While the game doesn't really look that better than PS4 version, the crowd&cars density seems to be massively improved
• When he turned all the settings to their lowest value, the game still didn't reach over 60 -> possible 60 FPS lock?
• The game really shines when you use FPS mode with a mouse, but mouse acceleration is there, and there are no easily editable PC config files that he could notice
• He installed it on an SSD, and while the pop-in is still noticeable, it's far less jarring than in the derpsole versions

This is fake, those guys were just trolling other sites. They were able even to get this posted on many minor news websites.

All they need to do is make the gate doors slide or not open (it's on a set mission "A titan of a job") You either bike through the gap or there use a jump which is near there.

Except Steam keys ARE NOT mentioned on any of these sites you mention.

It says on GMG "Other DRM" above the price box and there's no mention of Steam at all on the store page.

 

And also, GMG, GamersGate and Newegg are not third party sites. They are authorized sellers. Rockstar even advertises them, but its no guarantee they will carry the Steam version. All 3 carry games for other services like uPlay and Origin. Rockstar are not going to be advertising G2A etc.

 

Its very likely that the Steam version will only be able to be purchased directly from Steam at least from the information that is known at this point. Until that info changes, if you want the Steam version, just wait and see what happens over the next few days/weeks.

If all this is true (although I find it very fake), this game will be very, VERY frustrating. I mean, a GTX 970 with a i5 4670K with settings all maxing out, and without AA running at 40-50 FPS? Seriously? Assassin's Creed Unity (I repeat Assassin's Creed Unity!)

Considering that the game is with the same optimization (or at least similar) of Max Payne 3, a PC with this configs was to be able to run the game with all maxed out + FXAA, with +60 FPS all time, and falling to only 45-50 with 10 cars exploding on the screen.

And again: "If all this is true", it's expected that Rockstar don't talk much about the PC version, because it will be another shame, like GTA IV.

Would be one hell of a start into the year 2015, after the only proper game I got in 2014 was Mario Kart 8 and two indie titles.

No requierements, digital download confusions, all the fakes going around I don't even know what's fake what's real ... chaos .. and they simply don't give two sh*ts.

I'm definetly not buying the game for 60€... Seriously I can buy 2-3 titles for that. I hope we get the final statement on all this on Tuesday I'm tired of this.. Yep don't buy the game full price if you are true to the cause of voting with your wallet. Coughing up full retail price for a digital game 1.5 years late shows that they can continue getting away with treating us this way.

The game will most likely be cracked and leaked in the last week before release, so we will hear if the game is a proper PC version or a piece of sh*t (GTA IV) even before the official release day

 

And next week retailers will probably receive the retail copies, so LEAKS INCOMING i.e. photos of disks, box etc.

 

And if it won't leak from retailers next week, then it'll probably leak from DVD printing facilities
