This is incredible how much players SA:MP got, as an unofficial multiplayer "mod".

Yeah there is no way that number is accurate. Not even Team Fortress 2 has that many players online right now (https://steamdb.info/app/440/ - 65.000 at the time of this post)

I don't know if it's really 66k but it's defenitely a lot. Just leave the server browser open for a while and you'll see it will keep load servers for a very long time.

SA-MP supports up to 1000 players or so, and some servers already have 500+ players in them. Goes up really fast that way.
