I wouldnt bet on tomorrow, but its really any day thing at this point.

 

I personally don't even think next week is a sure thing. The early part of the week of the 19th is the best bet IMO, about a week before launch.

Btw, I've got a question about the Steam wallet.

 

If for example, let's say GTA V releases on Steam for 52€.....

 

I have some points and money tickets for game stores ready to get Steam funds to buy the game, but there are only 20€, 50€ and 100€ cards...

 

Would I have to get a 50€ and a 20€ card just for a 52€ game? I know I would have the remaining 18€ available but I don't want to spend more than that.

 

Is there a way of getting an specific amount of cash to your Steam wallet?

At least here in Portugal you can pay an exact value directly from Steam using "Multibanco" (ATM).

That was not what I meant tho, I know you can pay an exact price using credit card on Steam when buying a game.

 

But I meant "adding an specific amount of funds to your Steam Wallet"

 

 

 

Anyway, I figured out how. You can purchase Steam 20, 50 and 100€ cards at retail stores, and if you are still a bit short (for example, if the game is in between 55 and 65€), you can get adittional money into your steam wallet buying directly from them, and you can get 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100€, which gives you more flexibility and prevents you from being left with spare 5-10-15€ that you can't spend in anything you'd like or that you'd just prefer to have in your hand, cash money.

I'm actually interested to see how they're going to make the video editor more relevant, now that video editing technology has come a longer way, and it's way more common to see things such as filters and effects in videos.

 

Surely they must have added something new to the thing, since they did mention that they built an entirely new editor for PC. So it doesn't sound like a copy paste job. Then again, I guess we'll see.

Who cares about a theater mode? I want them to announce full mod support and a workshop on steam and say "We at R* can't wait to see all the creative works the community will make!" I would jizz twice. It would literally be the best thing EVER. THE BEST DAY EVER.

Wow. Watching that old gameplay trailer from 2013 really is crazy. Having played through the game on PS4 at 1080p, it's insane seeing how much worse the old gen version really was. Texture quality is easily the best improvement, but also draw distance and overall shader quality. It really makes me wonder, am I even going to find that big of a difference when I play this game on my PC? I'm thinking honestly, no. I know I will have true anisotropic filtering (the absolute biggest necessity for this game graphically over consoles) and better anti-aliasing. Frame-rate I am willing to sacrifice with a 30 fps cap if I can push say 4xMSAA and 2560x1440. But really it'd be nice to play at 1080p with FXAA and a solid 60 fps.

 

Crazy just thinking about how in less than 3 weeks (God willing) I will be able to customize my graphics and tweak this game to perfection like I did in GTA IV and so many other great games.

 

 

Now, if only RDR would get a nice HD remaster for NG consoles and PC...

There was much more hype in Rockstar itself to bring GTA IV to PC community than it's actually is as for GTA V. And that's absurd thing, 'cause GTA V is much bigger, much better and much richer than predecessor. They gone mad!

You guys need to stop using the word "optimization". It's been overused, now it's just a crutch for those with sh*tass hardware.

Let me go back to the mid 80's.... Games then really were revolutionary, since most modern genre's hadn't been even invented!

 

Best of the lot? Paradroid on the Commodore 64, first game ever to use line of sight.

I'm sure that if we don't get information beforehand, we'll get it two weeks before release much like the current gen consoles. The only PC specific feature they could show is the video editor as the current gen has everything else so they won't be making as big a deal about it as the first person announcement.

It's ridiculous how long it seems when it's only 18 days away. If it was any other game I'd say it's gonna be out in no time, but we are nearing 16 months since that game came out on Xbox 360 and PS3 (20 if you count Spring delay) with combination of keeping us in the dark with no news whatsoever it seems like an eternity.

Everyday I find more funny how R* care about their community.

 

I really believe that we're doing exactly what they want, hyping up the game. Lets think together: We have 500 pages of people talking about the game here, just on this forum, plus more and more people talking around about the game. Yes, most of us are angry and saying that R* is a bunch of as***** but we still want the game, and most of us will buy it at full price on the 1st day. Therefore, we're just doing a free ads for them.

 

My idea is that if any other game company do a similar thing, we gonna just forget about the game and don't talk about it, therefore the company release new information to keep the community warming up. On the other hand, with GTA V, more they piss us off, more we talk about then. I heard people talking around about this delay, and then a third person join the conversation (normally a newbie) saying "oh, it must be good when released".

 

Conclusion: R* piss us off, but we gonna buy the game and also we attract more people to buy the game. Win-Win situation for them... and after the game releases.... everyone will love R* again.
