  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

Should I buy The Crew?

I heard it's a nice game with a gigantic map, maybe I should travel between L.A and the nearby desert and pretend that I'm driving in Los Santos and Blaine County

Another thing I did to replace GTA V ... Customized a nice ride and went to L.A. pretending it's Los Santos - it's very similar to GTA so it wasn't that hard...

God now that I really think about it I've done some weird things since the announcement...

To your question - the world is enourmous, however it still needs updating cause right now it pretty much lacks races or features to race everywhere. PVP lobbies had problems now they're fine and pretty fun. The story was good too for a racing game. But I would recommend it more if you have friends to play with cause alone it's pretty boring.. cops are terrible by the way.

Here's not the place to ask that question, but for the sake of your question i will answer it:

The Crew has a lot of potential but it stays at that, The Crew has a massive open world in which you can do a lot of free-roaming and racing, but it very much stays the same throughout the whole-game, after you've completed the game, as I have, there are PVP missions, Faction missions, etc. but that's about it, you may say that that is a lot, but when you play it yourself it actually isn't and it gets boring very fast. Having that said, the free-roaming is quite enjoyable, but it lacks detail, from the cars to the buildings in the major cities, I myself am a great racing fan and I played games like TDU 2 and Gran Turismo a lot, so when i say that's it's lacking, i really mean it, because i myself was very hyped about The Crew. So all in all, if you dont have high expectations, go for it, and have an awesome time until GTA V comes out for PC and i hope to see you, and the rest of us online in GTA Online!

Now back OT: Hopefully we will get some info soon and maybe some leaked footage?

Leaked footage is definetly coming but not sooner than a week or less before the release.

Both old gen and next gen had been leaked

I'm not so sure. Console games are literally put the disc in and play whereas PC can impose bullsh*t DRM like always online that prevent anyone from playing the game early. This has been going on for over 10 years where I believe valve forced you to make a steam account and register your half life 2 copy before playing, even if you bought it retail.

So no don't expect any leaked footage.

Just saw this on neogaf.

jREcRZk.jpg

"Just wait 16 days." Now what does that remind me of?

Oh yeah.

"Just wait till the 6th guys."

"Just wait till next week"

"Wait for the 27th."

Totally dependent on if the game requires Steam to activate or whatever DRM is in there. If it requires Steam, that means there's encrypted data which wont even unlock until release. Sometimes they can be cracked right away, but much less often now and you can bet GTA 5 will have some sort of countermeasure.

Comparing console versions to the PC version isnt really a fair practice anymore. Console versions get sold early from stores, or someone knows someone who works in the back, shipped early, etc. and don't require activation the way PC versions now do. This is why when a lot of PC games leak early the pirates are forced to wait for release anyway. They dont have all the data necessary to run the thing yet b/c its encrypted.

Wouldn't it also require Social Club to activate, regardless of Steam integration?

I am really embarrased about this but I'll share anyways ...

Today I was so desperate I watched a GTA V video and acted like I was playing with my mouse & keyboard (tried to synchronize with the person's gameplay)

R* ... come on I might as well visit a specialist soon

That's not embarrassing, I think everyone of us has imagined or done this till now.

sometimes when I watch gameplay of it, I put the video on fullscreen and say to myself "this is what its going to look like on my monitor.

I actually sent a Snapchat video to my friend with the First Person trailer playing fullscreen and my hands driving.

I feel so dumb.

Nobody knows, it very well could. We don't know how or even if Social Club is integrated this time.

all i ask is a well optimized game, a fully working multiplayer plataform right after the release and if not much some extras for PC since we waited lot more then consoles did
(obviously i dun want gta5 to be delayed and im very confident it wont, or else Rockstar would be in great trouble)

Dear Customer,

We have unfortunately received information from the developers of GTA V that the box key, which was sold in our store, is not going to activate the game on Steam. This means that along with the key you would have to own a physical copy of the game to activate it.

I'm pretty sure it has to be. The Social Club has become a very integral thing for V, and it's pretty much a necessity for GTA Online. The stats page, the platform ID switcher (PS3/360/PS4/XB1) and the direct integration with some of the in-game systems and features (like Snapmatic).

Not a surprise. Sounds to me like all physical copies will be Social Club only.

This also points to why the Steam version is not yet on sale. They want to make as much as they can from the physical first.

Also just received this from Kinguin. Seems pretty legit.. So if I get this correctly there wont be sold any digital copies?

There are digital copies, but right now, they seem to be limited to Steam.

I think I am lucky with that I have been waiting for gta 5 to hit the PC for only 7 months (since PC trailer release). Never gave a sh*t about this game before. Some people been waiting for years, man! It's so bad

Yea, I dont disagree. That post a few minutes ago makes it pretty clear that there is going to be a Social Club version and a Steam version (that also requires Social Club), kind of like how Ubisoft games on Steam still require uPlay and you can only get the uPlay versions if you buy it elsewhere. This means that the Steam version will likely only be purchasable directly from Steam.

I don't think it's going to be a full scale Social Club application you go on, i remember they was an update for GTA IV and EFLC that removed the whole application and just had the sign in launcher at the start of the game.

Well, if LA Noire and MP3 are anything to go on, SC will just have the usual Steam/Origin/UPlay interface in-game, activated by a hotkey.

Works pretty well in LA Noire and MP3 in my experience. Though there were some notable issues with MP3 and key authorization.

Max Payne 3 and LA Noire had Social Club integrated into the game itself, didn't even have a Separate launcher like GTA4.

LA Noire and MP3 have a pretty well working Social Club interface, though.

They probably ditched the in-game interface for IV and EFLC because it conflicted with GFWL or something. I dunno.

How could they ditch something they didn't even have developed yet? GTA4 was the first game with Social Club AFAIK

Just came home from a big mall in town.

GAME stores are flooded with GTA V merchandise and propaganda, but ONLY IN CONSOLE VERSIONS. You can preorder the PC version tho, but only IF YOU KNOW IT EXISTS because there's 0 preorder boxes or announcements or whatsoever.

Surprisingly tho, In Carrefour, there were "reserve" cards which you would pay 1€ for but it would grant you to have the game in the release day for a fixed price of 40€ and the 1.000.000$ In game cash.
