Even though it sucks, I must admit they're doing a hell of a job with keeping things to themselves - it's almost impossible to leak some info from them and they have all the rights to keep them as a company. This is how business works you can't do anything about it. The next is Valve with their HL 3.. (You still don't know if it's coming or not, and they might be working on it for years now)

 

Now take a look at Ubisoft. Unity was out for a week or two and Victory got leaked already.. That company is starting to be a really big mess in terms of everything they do.. not to mention their ultimate PC optimization fails.

I don't believe the 'hate' theory, I think they just have a very strange business model.

 

As for R* SD being the studio that made the game, that doesn't mean they were the ones who made the decision to not do a PC version, they were just the ones assigned to make it, but my point was that R* didn't want to do a PC version so they didn't, despite the fact PC players wanted it and it would have made them money.

I feel the same way as many people here, but the option of giving up no longer belong to us. Once we start losing faith in the relase of GTA V for PC or the requirements, we lose everything we achieved during all these long years wasted by waiting. We owe it to the people who gave up alongside us and bought the console version or simply decided to pirate the game (thus giving Rockstar a good reason to hate PC gamers even more). We have to continue waiting.. ..even if it means waiting the rest our lives without playing GTA V on PC, knowing the requirements or even any respond from Rockstar. Maybe one day, we'll wake up to a better world with the requirements and maybe even the GTA V on PC itself. But until then we have to wait and believe, I know it's difficult, "go away", "wait", "comming soon" we are told by the Rockstar for the last 4 years. This world is actually hardly a place for us, lovers of power, performance, high resolutions, ultra settings, mods,.. in other words PC gamers anymore, not among all these "console only" relases. Not in this growing age of consoles, unfinished relases, DLCs and bad optimalization. We are being squeezed out, pushed aside and hunted down like some animals. We became endangered. But there is still hope, there's a beautiful paradise where we are free to push out maximum out of our beautiful and powerful PCs, it's not a real place though, at least not jet, but it will be one day, in the future after the 27. january, then maybe everything will change. Until that day GTA V will be the synonym of the console domination over PC, but after that day? No longer!!! We just can't give up, not now, not after all this waiting, we have to keep up and wait. We've been waiting for so long and now we are so close, people please don't give up. I believe that GTA V on PC won't be just a game.. It will be more than that. It will be a communal celebration of PC gaming, strong HardWare and mods. It's my last hope in PC gaming and even gaming overall, because Rockstar isn't that bad actually, if we look at all the free stuff they relased for the game and how they care about the game and the (console) community.

That's all i wanted to tell you people, BELIEVE.

I feel like most people here are over reacting or making it more of a fuss than it should be.

 

Seriously, they've followed the "post-on-tuesday" method for quite a while now, with only VERY FEW exceptions. Now that the festive event stuff is over, it's ALMOST CERTAIN they'll post info' regarding GTA V on PC next week.

 

I could be wrong, they may go silent and if such a thing happens and we get near the release and we get no info' then we have every reason to panic. But right now, looking at R*'s past method for their releases on PC, there isn't much out of order. Next week marks 2 weeks till the release, like MP3.

 

Just wait, be patient, that's it. It's understandable people are upset, but don't over blow it to exaggerated stages where conspiracy theories float around that R* hates PC.

GTA IV wasn't that bad, only people exagarating all the time. Try to play Unity - I couldn't even play on the lowest resolution with all settings on lowest (20-25 fps). Dragon's Age comes out and I'm playing on 1080p High settings. Metal Gear Solid same thing, perfectly optimized by a CONSOLE developer. So what are we dealing here with ...

Ac Unity not that bad, when GTA 4 was released i couldn't play even with top gpu for that time.

I must admit sometimes I feel so jealous because of GTA V that I search for open world games like The Crew and say everything about it to my console friends... Also, I had to go to a psychologist because of my anxiety disorders developed due this waiting.

Well it's good for cruising around, LA looks beautiful, maybe not as accurate as R* recreation, but still very cool.

Size seems the same.

Yes, but you should enjoy the map. Do not use the "fast travel" option so frequently or you will end the game quickly and get bored after it. But, be aware of: the enemy cars go faster when you are on the lead and slow down when you are behind and the things are too expensive. I run the game very well on my GTX 560, it runs on 30fps with all options high + 4xAA and 60fps with medium settings with 2x.

This is the reason why I don't believe in a delay.
