There is some time that I don't visit here, but everyone was saying that PC version was "impossible" to be delayed (remember Xerukal, lol). I think that is coming January 27th, but nothing is impossible.

There is like 500+ pagers of this thread but if I remember correctly GTA IV system requirements were about two weeks prior to the games release. Max Payne 3 I believe was right at the end of April which was suppose to be released May 15 (but pushed to June 1st for distribution issues). I'm impatient as the next guy about this and I can understand it doesn't sit well Steam hasn't opened the pre-order yet.

 

I'd really hope for details today but I have a feeling we won't know anything until Tuesday.

But there are only 19 days left and still no system requirements and no steam pre-order. That is something to think about it.

Like i said many times before, in the steam version nothing appart from steam integration is beeing tested, screenshots, game bugs etc are beeing done in the "normal" build.

The game SHOULD be done by now. I'd say they are preparing a trailer or screens to post, which would take a lil' while.

 

Then again they don't need to run the Steam version to get screenshots and make a trailer, even if it depends on Steam to work when it goes on sale.

Seriously with a team as big as R* Games has them, it shouldn't take more than 2 days to make a trailer for PC, i mean 16 business hours should be enough, right? guess not, i mean they have done it multiple times by now for all the other platforms so it shouldn't be that hard for them especially with all the dev tools they have for the special scenes and then the editing, shouldn't take that much time imo, take the 1st person trailer as an example, it wasn't that special now was it?

It's not because they can't release anything, it's because they don't want to yet.

 

They have everything ready to be released now, even the game itself. They just wait for the right time, for them.

I really hope Watch_Dogs next or MAFIA next could at least sell a huge amount of units maybe near the sales of GTA IV or RDR so that Rockstar can actually realize they are not the only one who knows how to develop good and profitable games.

Depends on if you mean by going gold the moment mass production begins or when Rockstar/Take-Two makes an announcement that the game has gone gold. In case you refer to the latter, Take-Two made the gold announcement for GTA IV 11 days prior to release. I don't recall that they made such an announcement for GTA IV PC or GTAV on next-gen, though. I was thinking that if we had a trailer like next day or today, we'd see that the video player is broken, however after some exploring, they seemed to have fixed it. There is now a Flash variable called "secret" and changing the VideoID will just yield the latest video. So, so much for that old school month old method that happened twice with First Person Experience and Heists.

US version and North America Made in Mexico. Asia, English version Made in Singapore. Asia, Chinese version Made in Taiwan.

UK/IE version Made in UK. Not sure about European versions or Latin American versions. Polish version Made in Poland. AU and NZ versions Made in Australia.
