That doesn't mean the devs aren't being overzealous or trying to cover up poor optimization. We are at the point where 6gb ram for games are only starting to happen and the only game i've seen release with 6 so far hasn't been needed.

Guys, Rockstar logic is working fine here. They don't even have to post any information to have you intrigued. I mean, look at yourself guys... They didn't even give you any information and look at this hype. Everything is fine here. They don't have to post system requirements when it's still 3 weeks until release. PC specs are usually posted in the last few weeks, not months. Be happy about it, because if they didn't post any requirements - it is a good sign. It means they are still working on it. It's like delaying a game - it is not bad at all. Yes, you have to wait more, but during that time it's not like they are doing nothing. THEY ARE WORKING TO MAKE IT BETTER. I remember those times when publishers usually revealed PC specs just before the release, not like months before. Those were the times when PC games were optimized really good... Now look at this mess in video gaming industry. And about the pre-orders: it is a fine situation too. It would be normal if GTA V appeared on Steam during the last few weeks too. It only means they care for you and DO NOT WANT to share any information that could become misleading during the next few weeks. Actually I would be mad if Rockstar put GTA V on Steam MONTHS before release, that would only show how greedy they are. Everything I see here is very normal, that is how things used to work ~7-10 years ago, but now you all act like is some kind of weird thing...

Tuesday is a day R* likes to make announcements (even though I personally don't think they will wait just for such day to announce PC details).

13th January is simply next Tuesday.

5 P.M GMT is about when R* post their Newswire articles.

Except for the IGN interview. That is pretty far fetched. Especially for just a PC release.

 

Yeah that was just a best case scenario, the reason i guessed we may get something then is because it's exactly 2 weeks before release and a tuesday, for the next gen release the first person trailer and the first ign interview was released on november 4th, 2 weeks before the initial release.

Jokes on you buddy ! I couldn't find a game that requires more than 6 GB of RAM and isn't playable on my 4 GB machine. Even though I had no problems yet , I'm still trying to get some more RAM. I have 3 free slots and I think it's time to make use of them lol.

Well that`s not entirely true. If you have a some old Pentium single core CPU and 2 Gb of RAM, then it`s not the games fault you can`t run it.

No, if I can't afford a $40 memory kit, I don't buy a gaming PC because I have bigger problems.
