How is this possible that R* is still play GTA V at almost 5Am in the morning... they've been playing for nearly almost 24 hours!!! That a new recorded not to meantion 3-ingame all day and all night long! I think this is a sign of final build of being release, testing achievements, missions, glitches, bugs and performance as well I bet.

R* should give 500k$ or more for Online as pre-order bonus for PC just like consoles, because well, we`ve been waiting so long for the release and they`ll probably release Heists soon after PC comes out. I mean there will be a lot of fresh blood in Los Santos with no guns or modded cars. They will be sitting ducks for transferred players like myself. I think R* should give them some starting money to buy an apartment, cars and some guns. Because Heists will require an apartment, so a new player joins GTA5 on release day. Heists roll out few days later with this huge "HEISTS ARE HERE!" title. Everyone goes yeeey! Heists and then boom! Nope you need an apartment that will cost you 200k. Though luck. No heists for you. Of course 200k isn`t much, 2 hours of correct grinding will get you that money. But still, you have an apartment. Now what? You start a heist with your fresh blood friends and you`re done. You won`t be able to just charge in guns blazing with 20% health and a pistol. New players will be at a disadvantage here. And I can already see the lower ranks being kicked out of jobs. Just my opinion. Probably at the wrong thread. If so I`m sorry for that.

I am one of the people predicting Rockstar would give some pc news to us yesterday. It's lame to predict again after you were proven wrong on the same prediction before, so I won't.

 

About negativity on the internet: I think it is not about how good or mature the community is. If you have to deal with a commnunity, you should prevent a community to become upset. Rockstar did fail on that. On the other hand, no one is entitled to receive information from Rockstar. They can do what they want. But if this is part of some marketing or creating some hype, they failed in my opinion. You can call it hype, but if many people expect some news and many others are getting upset by the lack of news for some reason, then it was just a big fail in marketing. GTA V probably will be the best game of the decade, which is why Rockstar can pull this of without any loss in sales. Any other company and game would be destroyed after bad marketing like this.

 

It is like walking into a store, asking every employee if they sell or will sell some kind of product you can expect in that store, while every single employee stays silent. Not even saying 'hello' or 'sorry' or 'I don't know' or 'it will be fine'. Just silence.

I have also been looking at GTA5 pre order,

but I'm not sure if i would want the pre order bonus money.

 

GTA 5 PC will be my very first dive into GTA5.

And i want to experience the game itself.

 

Starting small ish like just buying a pistol, and a car, maybe an upgrade here and there.

If i have 500k straight away there's nothing stopping me from just buying a fully upgraded assault rifle or RPG.

and I'm not sure if I want that.

 

I know the game will evolve much faster then GTA4 did.

Alot more action alot sooner in the game.

 

But as i said, gameplay wise i have no idea how fast/expensive things are in general.

At this point i would be more interested in getting the returning player extra vehicles (which i'm not elegible for) then 500k+500k money...

We are talking about Rockstar. They loves to get our money before the game release. Off-course they will open Steam pre-order.

personally I have my exams till the 27th and have Dragon Age, Shadow of mordor, payday 2 and a lot of unwatched movies to keep occupied ( not that I recommend watching films and playing games in time of your exams )

@Loxias You can accept the pre-order bonus and create a character. Withdraw all the money with that character. Create a second character and play with that. You won`t have the 500k, because characters share bank money not pocket money. So you will be experiencing the the very beginning of GTAO without any bonuses and later when you`ll be saving money for a car you want and will be sick of grinding just switch to the 1st character, transfer money to the bank, go back to the 2nd character and spend the 500k you got as pre-order bonus.

I have a laptop too and I'm worried about the requirements but if I can't run GTA 5 at all there is nothing I can do unlike desktop users.That's what he means I think.

You could buy a new laptop, but yeah, you either can run it ornot.

As someone said a few post ago aswell, if you can run any shooter or 3rd person game from late 2013 or 2014 such as tomb raider, BF4 or similar you should be fine.

 

edit: Obviously it still depends on optimization... Ubisoft prooved that with watch dogs & far cry aswell apparently

Hey guys,

 

I almost never post here. Not since the GTA IV wait I think. It takes quite a bit of stuff to happen before I ever think to post. I feel like I want to say this to the community. I am not singling out anyone here, it is just a general observation. Here goes.

 

The hostility I am seeing here over a video game is embarrassing to us as a community and as individuals. While I understand the desire to want this game, I want it as much as the rest of you, I do not remotely understand the anger toward what should be an exciting a fun time for us.

I liken this to last year. I am 35 years old right now. On my birthday last year, which is in February, the 9th for those interested, it was a Sunday and I was excited to have family and friends over to celebrate. It got cancelled due to weather. No one could make it. I celebrated it 2 weeks later when I could get everyone together. I didn't get angry. I did not blame mother nature or God or believe I was being conspired against. Stuff just happens. I was disappointed for sure. Not going to lie.

My point is this, I guess. We are PC gamers. We get the rep of being a bit snobbish and entitled. I would rather cooler heads prevail here. Lets not give the console guys any more ammunition against us. Let us band together a bit a talk about how excited we are and what we believe our experiences will be. All this anger at R* does not really suit the mature, amazing nature of PC gaming. We work a bit harder to afford our systems. We play differently than the console guys, who I love by the way. We interact with our games on a more personal level with mods and community add ons. We claim our superiority, but act beneath our stature. All I am saying is that this community is at its best when we are positive. Even in the face of what seems like terrible treatment. Lets try and get back to those roots. Sorry for the bad sentence structure. I know math and physics not english and grammer.

Well, this may sound like a terrible comparison, but imagine everyone skipped your birthday not for weather reasons, but because some rich douchebag cousin you hate had called your family to go to their mansion and show them their new 120" TV.

 

That's what Rockstar did. Delay the PC version on purpose just so consoles could sell a bit more..... They knew the PC community were waiting for the game for longer than anyone else and they were more excited about the game than anyone else, yet all they get is sh*t and they have to be with their arms crossed watching how console players get a better treat just because they play on console.

Well I can't afford a new laptop for the moment,Also like you said going with the recent shooters like BF4(not sure if that's a good comparison to GTA 5) where i get 50+fps on low settings,I am hoping i can get the same with GTA 5.
