Preorder month

  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

Recommended Posts

Hope it won't be that way. I have my money stored in Steam to pre-order it.

Same as me, I have saved all the money to buy GTA V from selling/trading things on Steam.. but the thing is.. I only really want the pre-order on Steam so there can be pre-load and I can finally play the game the 27th.. I really don't care about pre-order bonuses

If there is no pre-load on Steam I might actually have to wait days after the 27 to play the game, cause slow internet.

3 in-game

The 3 musketeers are back
just gotta wait for the fourth musketeer now
there's so much we don't even know about these three players, are they from Steam or what and what relevance is there with them even being in game

wouldn't hold your breath for the fourth guy I'm not sure there's much importance

all 3 janitors, id laugh if suddenly we get 12 over night and its just them f*cking with people :plol for all we know they're not even in the game it just shows up that way for no reason or something

obviously I'm not a sceptic enough to be all "lol there's a delay you're all idiots for having hope!!" although I am rather curious about the lack of news

im thinking the lack of news is they are drumming up the hype this close to release now, and we will get specs screens a trailer and a 5 min look into the new and improved editor, the page will be very long going into detail.. that seems like the most likely reason we still havent gotten anything cause they need a big enterance

what if R*'s idea of a joke is staying silent then announcing a delay a day before release then releasing it the next day just to toy with some emotions and cause the odd suicide or two of diehard fans

I'd say the chances are slim but you know it's fun to make up scenarios

its possible, they said themselves they are excited to bring it out (which the cry babies see as we hate you pc players) we should be happy we are getting the game as it is, i honestly dont mind the wait as long as it stays 27th which i know it will and its only 3-3 weeks away now so thats all the hype i need..not any of this "1 person online" crap that says nothing... i will finish this with

BRING ON THE 27th BITCHES :D

To all the Rockstar haters: F*ck you.

Patience is a virtue.

customers and we need answers, for with this bullsh*t to defend Rockstar

tumblr_inline_mymr3g8hR21qcq31a.png

Lol you got answers! A f*cking release date - the thing we've been wanting for a year! And people are still complaining because...

well... why are you complaining again? Because they changed it to "soon" on steam and then changed it back? I don't know anymore.

Stop speculating about bullsh*t that isn't going to happen. There won't be a delay... do you know how dumb that would be of Rockstar? PC is no small platform; they would anger millions of customers.

No delay. Period.

In 19 days you can tell me I was wrong.

All of this happening in this thread doesn't mean they can't post a PC article today (wednesday here)

Just because we were only EXPECTING and SPECULATING about tuesday doesn't mean this weeks is lost.

And so far, we did nothing just that and will do it until the specs are here out of nowhere. Nobody knows if they have the date of announcing something set for months now, or they really want to test it out properly on lots of system to make them accurate.. and they can do it 2 or even 1 week before release cause at this point it doesn't really matter.

Nobody knows their strategy, so predicting something is really pointless now.

I know it's incredible right?

Hey guys I had a thought. You know how we're less than 3 weeks away from the supposed release and we STILL can't buy the f*cking game on Steam? I was thinking, how early could PS4 and XB1 players pre-order the digital copy before the game was released? Was it measurable in days, weeks or months? Because if months, then it couldn't be more clear why those greedy f*cks haven't put the pre-order up on Steam yet. All about maximizing profits.

comparing steam to PS4/XB1 storefront is ridiculous, the console stores are managed by MS/Sony, they put the pre-orders up before any confirmation was given. In the same way the pre-orders for PC were available at retailers before a release date was even given.

It's their game. If they don't want it up for sale on MS or Sony's stores, they decide. Sony and MS can't just go "f*ck off Rockstar we know you're making this game so we're gonna take money without your permission and give you the cut later." Rockstar are literally the only ones who decide who, when and where their game is available for sale. Maybe shady privately owned retailers can get away with going behind their backs to take pre-orders, but big names like MS and Sony surely cannot. They would be easy targets for lawsuits if they didn't do what Rockstar said.

So yes, you can compare PS4/XB1 digital market to Steam's lack of pre-order. And it speaks volumes on Rockstar's business strategy. Valve = more cut taken out of game, don't make it available there so impatient people buy it direct through them or other retail channels where they get a bigger cut. F*ck man how can you not see that. It's blatant.

Hey guys,

I almost never post here. Not since the GTA IV wait I think. It takes quite a bit of stuff to happen before I ever think to post. I feel like I want to say this to the community. I am not singling out anyone here, it is just a general observation. Here goes.

The hostility I am seeing here over a video game is embarrassing to us as a community and as individuals. While I understand the desire to want this game, I want it as much as the rest of you, I do not remotely understand the anger toward what should be an exciting a fun time for us.

I liken this to last year. I am 35 years old right now. On my birthday last year, which is in February, the 9th for those interested, it was a Sunday and I was excited to have family and friends over to celebrate. It got cancelled due to weather. No one could make it. I celebrated it 2 weeks later when I could get everyone together. I didn't get angry. I did not blame mother nature or God or believe I was being conspired against. Stuff just happens. I was disappointed for sure. Not going to lie.

My point is this, I guess. We are PC gamers. We get the rep of being a bit snobbish and entitled. I would rather cooler heads prevail here. Lets not give the console guys any more ammunition against us. Let us band together a bit a talk about how excited we are and what we believe our experiences will be. All this anger at R* does not really suit the mature, amazing nature of PC gaming. We work a bit harder to afford our systems. We play differently than the console guys, who I love by the way. We interact with our games on a more personal level with mods and community add ons. We claim our superiority, but act beneath our stature. All I am saying is that this community is at its best when we are positive. Even in the face of what seems like terrible treatment. Lets try and get back to those roots. Sorry for the bad sentence structure. I know math and physics not english and grammer.

I agree with what you're saying, I think the main reason why everyone is a big frustrated is that we are scared another delay is going to announced since there has been no concrete news about the PC version (PC screenshots, system requirements), but like I said, you're right, people shouldn't worry like crazy just because there is no news, we know how Rockstar like to do things, last minute always.

This game was supposed to release along with the new consoles in the FALL, remember. They pushed it back to January 27th, and now it kind of seems like a another delay, unless the almighty decide to finally post something regarding GTA V PC version....Remember this game has been out since SEP, 17 2013, and it's January 2015, ffs. Soon this game will be old news, just like my gpu...I bet the children on "next gen" are already bored of it.

I'm tired of playing GTA IV, mmmkkkay thanks bye..

I have read your lengthy post, and I am going to give you some constructive criticism, first off.... you are full of sh*t from my point of view, I seriously cannot believe you are using the idea of having to care about how other communitys see us, also PC Gamers or users alike are not "Entitled" I mean seriously, we are ignored and given half-ass products by companies a majority of the time Ex: Ubisoft, E.A, etc.. You should hopefully get the idea, now another thing you touched up on is having "Patience" well there is a way to differentiate between a birthday being delayed and a product being purposely held back simply because a company wants to make extra cash instead of caring for a community and actually providing the product which we ALL as a GTAForum community always glanced upon and wish to play, I mean seriously we have been waiting wayyyyyy longer then console games, and they are the reason we are still waiting to this very second, now I'm not trying to start a war or flame on anyone, but it's seriously obvious that the PC version has been delayed because R* is still grabbing cash from the console gamer's before finally releasing the game on PC.

Also the Hostility of this forum is completely justified considering R* is completely lying to us and always giving an excuse or saying "In the weeks to come" or "Stay Tuned" like what in the world is up with that? did they fail to some how develop a social aspect within their business?

So before you go on and start typing some smart response, be more considerate for us having the patience.

Hello,

I still do not see the reason to be angry over when a video game gets released. A year and a half has gone by, that much I agree with. I still don't feel like it is a big deal. I will still get to play it. I will still get the full experience. I am happy the console crowd got their chance, and I am happier we will soon get ours. This feel to me like when you are a kid and the kid beside you gets ice cream first. I don't know about you but I didn't whine about it. Did you?

All I am saying is that this community is at its best when we are positive. Even in the face of what seems like terrible treatment. Lets try and get back to those roots. Sorry for the bad sentence structure. I know math and physics not english and grammer.

"lemme give you some constructive criticism"

immediately after - "you are full of sh*t"

I don't think thats how constructive criticism works, or at least that's not how you start it.

I can see some of your point, but in situations like this hostility is never justified. I will never agree that being angry about something I cannot control is the correct course of action. Hostility should be reserved for moments of moral outrage. Stuff like dictators and atrocities. Not video game releases. IF we use hostility all the time it loses it's inherent power. It is like the over use of the word epic. It has nearly no meaning now. I do like the .gif that dude posted though. It is pretty funny.

You say your not entitled, then go on to say how your entitled to some news from R*, even if they have no news to give...

I mean in the sense that we aren't cursing them out and typing very disrespectful comments towards them, I mean for the past 2 or 3 years we have attempted to keep our cool and R* just keeps messing around with us.

If we were treated equally to the console players, you'd be 100% correct. But we're not. We're treated as second rate customers and fans. We are ignored, and given sh*tty ports almost every time from Rockstar. Max Payne 3 is the ONLY Rockstar PC game since GTA 1 and 2 (originally PC exclusives) that was not sh*t, and that's because they developed the engine simultaneously next to the console versions. We have every right to be disgusted with the way they are with us and as far as patience is concerned, I used to believe in that concept; "patience is a virtue." But no more. Watching people pass away before experiencing great things and never getting the chance to, just proves to me that our time on this earth is limited and we need to take in as much as we can before we go. What good is patience when we are all living on borrowed time?

The only thing you are undoubtedly correct about is that it IS afterall a videogame and to get stressed out over something so insignificant, so pointless, is rather absurd. I'm sure 50 years from now when I'm on my death bed (hopefully not but that'd be 77 so who knows if I even make it that far) I will look back and laugh at how worked up I got over the released date of a f*cking game. But right now? It is something I care about, as horrible as that is, it is what it is. And it really sucks.

Exactly, we have lost some friends and brothers(Community members) throughout the entire damn time, and all we get is "Stay tuned" and we are simply treated like we are of no value towards R*.
