Guys guys guys guys guys. Being optomistic is good, but c'mon. Just becase one employee tweets "GTA V is coming to PC in 27th January" doesn't mean anything official. I'm not trying to put you down but just don't get your hopes up about an unnoficial tweet. The people who do PR for the different shops are literally just employees. They're not behind the scenes people. I'm just looking out for you guys.

GTA V coming to PC 27th January 2015. It's official. It's at first page on R* official site. It's in many article on that site. It's everywhere except Steam.

This is outrageous! They promised 2 weeks ago to post the sys. reqs. 1 week after that and they didn't! Do you guys even realise how f*cked up they are? YOU as a company, CAN'T do that. You'd look pretty f*cked up, oh ,right, you do look pretty f*cked up. You can see how serious R* is as a company by promising something and not respecting that, not even mentioning that they'll post the specs later (like all the other producers do).

Exactly. Yesterday I saw 60% vote on Jan and now it is on 63%. People are just changing boats. These so called "Optimists". Whereas my vote is fixed on Jan from the start.

I don't think that is bot... I think it a real person playing GTA V at his house for beta testing phase or better of saying it just polish it up and ready to be shipped.

 

However there is a guy on GTA V steam forum said that he works at the warehouse not rockstar but he has access to games SKU he did said that he saw alot boxes saying "DO NOT OPEN AT THIS DATE" it was boxes of GTA V PC being ready to shipped next week.

 

For referring what SKU means it means Stock keeping units.

What? I don't even bottleneck at all what the hell are you talking about? It Core i7 2600K 2nd generation of i7 is still good for another what 5 years...

 

I don't need any upgrades right now until DDR4 prices go down then I'll upgrade my system. You're the one is the old fashion using AMD... not alot people use that much anymore because AMD is pretty much well... low ranked based on benchmark.

World record. The processor I use came out this fall. But this is a holdover rig until, like you said, the DDR4 gets more reasonable and 5th gen intel is a bit less priced. Spent $1000~ on this rig. And have $2600-4000 for the monster. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/farnot/saved/FnTNnQ

But I do agree on the part that intel is the master processor. Was just wondering because it is a bit on an older cpu with a modern gpu.

 

Whatever you do, do NOT, I repeat do not get 3 x 970's especially if you're getting aftermarket EVGA cooler that blow inside the case. It would be an absolute nightmare, temperature wise with all 3 cards blowing inside the case, unless you're planning on cusom watercooling the cards with EK blocks for example. Plus 2 x 980's would be a much wiser choice as its not that much far behind 3 x 970'sin terms of performance (remember 2-way SLI never scales 100%, 3-way SLI scaling is even worse), also less heat, less power needed to run the setup, better overclock potential with 2 cards vs 3 if on air. Better yet, wait for the next cards that will release in a few, which will be 30-40% faster than current GTX 980. R9 390X from AMD camp or Big Maxwell "GTX 1080" or whatever it will be called. (Maxwell refresh)

That "coming week" is a typo. I don't get why they wouldn't try to correct it, but back then was holiday time. They got family and friends to spend christmas and new year.

Yes there are. Diablo 3 sold 6 million copies in the first week and it was PC exclusive for over a year. I don't really know about any other AAA games though.

The numbers on vgchartz are woefully inaccurate. Here's how they get their data:

• Passively polling end users to find out what games they are currently purchasing and playing (Think website polls)
• Polling retail partners to find out what games and hardware they are selling (Who? Which retailers? Which locations? Certainly not the likes of Steam which doesn't publish sales numbers.)
• Using statistical trend fitting and historical data for similar games (So guesswork based on similar titles)
• Studying resell prices to determine consumer demand and inventory levels (Again, who are they checking?)
• Consulting with publishers and manufacturers to find out how many units they are introducing into the channel (Doubtful most publishers would give them raw/accurate numbers)

As an example, a few years back Sony announced they had shipped 38.1 million PS3s. At that time, VGChartz listed it at only 36 million. Huge margin of error there.
