  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

nvidia will launch the 960 almost one week before the game and they probably know what we need to play the game ... is 960 the performance card that we need for rec specs ?...

I'm going to guess that it's going to be a 600 series card they use in recommended

Honestly spec requirements always were retarded to me. They give you minimum and recommended, and neither really tells you anything. There have been games where lower specs than minimum were able to run the game just fine. There were games (and when I say there were games, I mean pretty much every game out there) where the recommended specs won't even get you 60 fps at High. So what the f*ck is the point? Once you get into the game of building your own custom gaming rigs, specs mean f*cking nothing. You build the best your budget can afford, and you should know for a fact the rig you built can run a game or not, and then the rest is up in the air. Is my current spec good enough to net me 60 fps at 1080p+ with High graphics? I guess I'll find out when I get the game. Recommended specs don't tell you sh*t.

Thats why i feel there should be a demo benchmark as a separate free download for every game

This is far more logical and consumer friendly, hence why the videogame industry won't adopt it.

Nope, they've mentioned 4k so 780/970 or 980 in recommended but it would be nice if they would separate the GPU requirement for 1080p and 4k.

obviouly 4k isnt part of rec specs .. 1080p is still the standart or main res but is good to have support to 4k for the near future , only some will play at 4k

When have you ever seen recomended specs make sense? They'll do rec specs at 1080p purely because it's the majority's res.

i hate when people dont read the pages before and just skip straight to the newest page of this topic

Well I guess, in a way I'm helping those people.

helping them how, you posted a link that you didnt see was already posted, you are not helping people you are just not checking before posting...i know others will say who cares but its annoying when people post links going "NO DELAY" or "ITS COMIGN OUT " and post a link a day old that all of us have seen

Guys guys guys guys guys. Being optomistic is good, but c'mon. Just becase one employee tweets "GTA V is coming to PC in 27th January" doesn't mean anything official. I'm not trying to put you down but just don't get your hopes up about an unnoficial tweet. The people who do PR for the different shops are literally just employees. They're not behind the scenes people. I'm just looking out for you guys.

obviouly 4k isnt part of rec specs .. 1080p is still the standart or main res but is good to have support to 4k for the near future , only some will play at 4k

There was a lot of confusion lately for some games and their system requirements especially for GPU(VRAM) component. Like Shadow of Mordor "required" 6GB (or 4,I forgot) of VRAM, same for Evil Within and cards with 2GB of VRAM were able to max out those games and it turned out that those were 4k requirements(or just pure BS in some cases).

Also

Crytek initially posted 4k system requirements as "recommended."

R* should do the same as Crytek.Separate column for 4k

Minimum:

  • CPU: Dual core with HyperThreading technology or quad core CPU
  • Examples: Intel Core i3 2.8 GHz (3220T) or AMD Phenom II X4 3.2 GHz (945)
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB video RAM
  • Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or AMD Radeon HD 7770
  • OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)
  • HD: 26GB

Recommended:

  • CPU: Quad Core or Six Core CPU
  • Examples: Intel Core i5 3.3 GHz (2500k) or AMD FX-6350 3.9 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB video RAM
  • Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660Ti or AMD Radeon 260x or 7850
  • OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)
  • HD: 26GB

Recommended for 4k gameplay:

  • CPU: Quad Core or Eight Core CPU
  • Examples: Intel Core i7 3.5 GHz (2700k) or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 4 GB video RAM
  • Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780/ Titan or AMD Radeon 290x
  • OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)
  • HD: 26GB

GTA V coming to PC 27th January 2015. It's official. It's at first page on R* official site. It's in many article on that site. It's everywhere except Steam.
