While waiting for GTA V I'm trying several games out, like Wreckfest.

 

Even in it's alpha stage, it's a lot of fun!!! With proper optimization and better antialiasing, this can be a hella awesome game.

I'm also playing TBOGT with a GTA V handling mod to start to get used again to GTA V's driving :3

I am with you on Wreckfest. It is going to be one hell of a driving game when it is done.

 

 

 

Playing Elite Dangerous currently.

Perfect game to play while waiting a month for GTA V, and it will also be perfect to take break from it from time to time when it's released.

Sys reqs and pre-order button will most likely come at the same time on steam. Providing 27th of Jan is still the release date.

Did you buy GTA IV on release? CoD Ghosts? Arma 3? DayZ? There is plenty other games which would of wanted as many people as possible buying it but failed to optimize it.

 

Sys Req's can be the difference between someone running it and not running it. Steam will not want unhappy customers as they don't give refunds on the games they sell. So they play it safe and in the long run have less whining children to deal with.

Is a bold word, we all remember (and some still do) Unity. Retail 20 or so fps, now with Patch 4 35 fps or so on better settings with R9 280x

I know I will be running the game fine as my specs are somewhere around what the recommended specs should be. But there are many who will wonder if their PC will cope and will not pre-order until they are sure they can play it. I do not blame them for waiting either....

gta 4 was badly optimised because it was the first time they had ported a rage game, not long after it was playable though..people need to get over a game that was on pc around 5 years ago, since then we have had max payne which was optimised to perfection and oh look they have been developing it alongside the others all this time and not ported it like people think, and dont give me the excuse how max payne is liniar and small, it was optimised, you dont load the whole of the map at once you load whats in a radius around you, the game will be optimised trust me.

I believe it's going to be optimized but that's not my point. CoD was ported many times to PC before the release of the 2nd latest game. It was an absolute Sh*t show and still is. A reasonable amount of AAA titles are getting released with poor optimization and for many the specs will be demanding enough.

 

Steam are covering their asses as they should. To stop people whining further when they can't play it but have pre-ordered without knowing specs. It's all down to R* now and people need to stop whining at steam.

As for recommended specs, they are probably the most sensible I have seen.

Now this I can agree with. Whenever possible Rockstar will take the opportunity to f*ck with pc players out of spite. I am counting on this actually happening Monday.
