For a game that's coming out in 3 weeks i would expect to see dozens of testers on the steam version, how would they know how the game performs under a lot of players on steam? My only guess is that steam version would come at a later date.

No they don't. They need it to test Steam integration (which doesn't require nearly as much testing as an entire f*cking game does).

 

The performance of the game is tested by internal builds that are probably only running RGSC as the DRM. They have absolutely no reason to run the Steam version to test the base functionality of the PC version.

I may have talked a bit yoda style there but as i understand they have an internal version that they use for development and the steam version is probably being tested only for steam related stuff, but i still think number of testers should have been way higher this close to release.

I'm betting that a week before launch, we're gonna regularly see those steam testers, probably large amounts of testers.

They may but they may not, if I'm not wrong they started to promote the NG version just with two weeks before the release.

We have 3 weeks and 3 days until the PC release.

What makes you think that they will say something about PC earlier as they did with the NG?

Considering how much they "love" PC community, I wouldn't even be surprised if they wait until the last week, after all it's f*cking R*.

So if you don't wanna be disappointed, don't expect any news, at least next week.

News for CG version came within 3 weeks before launch, so next week is plausible.

 

3 weeks before release is the returning players news. A week later, PS4 FP trailer. Then a week later, PS3-PS4 comparison. Then on 12 November, CG launch trailer.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just released it on just some retailers, amazon and warehouse. And don't say a goddamn word about it. Not even at the release day.

 

They look like if they say the word PC they lose 1 day of life. And if they say something positive about the PC, they instead lose 1 year. That's my guess for the silence.. Poor Rockstar

However there is a guy on GTA V steam forum said that he works at the warehouse not rockstar but he has access to games SKU he did said that he saw alot boxes saying "DO NOT OPEN AT THIS DATE" it was boxes of GTA V PC being ready to shipped next week.

 

For referring what SKU means it means Stock keeping units.

No, but i'm dead worried about a Steam delay meaning the game will only arrive on steam some time after retail.

It's been rumoured. The sell-out nature of Rockstar (god knows how much GameStop and alike would pay them for this) and the lack of the official release date on Steam. Yeah, i'm really worried. Physical would be RGSC only.and the Digital would be Steam only with RGSC logon...maybe

I highly doubt physical version would include a Steam key...
