You guys should realize that its just a pre Order box not The game itself so nothing to Get too excited about

The cover is nothing new, really. I have got a very similar one when I pre-ordered the PC version a few weeks ago. It's just for advertisement, and to ensure that you get your copy on day one.

Is that hard R* to create a new screen?

Rockstar's trolling is palpable.

Also, reading this thread has just reaffirmed to me what I already knew: that the average IQ of GTA-Forums posters are the same as the types of players you can encounter in GTAO: exclusively in the double digits.

This is new:

05102-85ecff2b-544c-47b3-9027-b704bab5b2

Funny how it's almost always the exact same reply from them.

They're like "Hey! We are happy to see you guys enjoying complaining. Also keep in mind to shut the f**k up or your *ss is grass."

Once there shall be a Newswire post that is PC related only. With screenshots, system requirements, Steam pre-order details, video editor info and other cool features...

And they will still delete all the comments with the word "PC" in them.

You are actually going to give them an average IQ in double digits? With the amount of profanity and squeaking that seems to exist in GTA Online, double digits seems almost generous. :)

Yes, the trolling seems to be almost purposeful now. But then they have done the same trick with the console announcements as well. It is simple hype building, probably to relesase info next week at a rabidly hyped audience. Seriously, take chill pills, breathe calmly and relax people. Time will pass quicker.

I don't understand some of the logic (or lack there of) in this thread. This whole "Rockstar hates PC" mindset is pure poison and baseless. The game is coming to PC, why aren't you excited about that? They aren't required to release this game on PC, yet they're doing this. And if you looked at it with an objective, business-oriented mindset, you'd release it after the console versions too. It's no secret that PC games get pirated a lot more frequently than console games do. That's a loss of money to a company, so it makes sense to release it after the console releases. It has nothing to do with them hating us, and everything to do with it making more business sense. If Rockstar hated us, they would just port over a buggy console version for a quick buck. That happened with GTA IV, yes, but Max Payne 3 should show you that they're taking PC a bit more seriously now.

Also, for those claiming the game has been finished for a long time, that's simply not true. If you're following this thread at all, you're seeing for yourself that they're updating the game pretty frequently. They are actively working on it, and we can see that based on steamdb. If they hadn't updated it for months, that'd be a bit more damning. I don't know if you realize this, but developing for console is a heck of a lot easier than for PC. Why? Your PS4 is exactly the same as Tommy's PS4 down the street. How many different hardware configurations are there for PC? It takes a lot of testing and optimization to get it to run solidly on a platform that has so many different software and hardware variations. Source: I'm a software engineer.

Lastly, this whole "they're delaying the game again, they hate us!" argument makes no sense. If they hated us / didn't care about PC, the last thing they'd do is delay the game. Assassin's Creed Unity anyone? I don't know if you realize this, but in order to make money on a game, you have to release it. Fact is, they spent money, likely quite a lot, to make GTA V come to PC. They made an investment. The way they'll get that money back from that investment is by releasing the game. So if they delay again, it's not because they hate us, but because they don't want to release a game that is not up to their quality standards.

Sorry to be so far from topic, but this has been bugging me for a while.

The hate comes from the fact that people waited for so long, and that they're scared that it once again gets delayed.

I for that matter know that January 27 is the date we'll be playing it, don't forget that we'll also have the files 6 days before release thanks to pre-loading :)

Well I guess they delete any comment having "PC" in them.

I mean, I posted this, and did not even ask a question, and it "disappeared".

Thankfully, they're handing ban to people abusing comments, not everyone using the letters PC.

This is f*cking APPALLING! It is definitive proof what a bunch of f*cking c*nts they are towards PC players. F*ck em.

@Shimqq When you pre-order the game, you sometimes have the ability to pre-load the game, meaning you can download the game files before it is released (probably 6 days before the release). Then, after you download them, you wait for the release date, and as soon as the date is hit, you will be able to instantly play it, without having to download something.

has this ever been done before by them? as in, have they ever promised a release date and been this confident as to put it on packaging only to delay it?

That's not a release date; that's a release month.

EDIT: After countless tries, it's confirmed that spoiler tags do not work.
