  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

Would be delayed if Microsoft or Sony had another platform to pay for and push it in front of PC to earn money.

But they are out of platforms. So PC is the next and the last one. That guy is a regular employee of R* support, he clearly doesn't know more than us - he's been told about the date and the "greybeards" are currently sticking to their plans. So yeah nothing has changed on that, it's still coming January 27-th

Trust me it is too late for a delay and there is no reason for it.

"at this time"... so it can be still delayed :( but i hope im wrong.

What? That just means that there are no plans to delay the game. It'll come on January 27th, like he said.

BS_BlackScout

Why does it bother people so much the possibility of an Origin version??

Really, if you don't like Origin OK, no problem, go buy the Steam version, if you also don't like Steam OK, no problem buy the retail you're not being forced to buy a certain version...

Damn, this just create useless fights and discussions.

It's funny how Rockstar Support manages to convert every message into an elaborate "f*ck you". "We have not yet announced any changes to that date at this time" aka "F*CK YOU"

What do you expect them to say, "we are 100% sure there will not be a delay even if our studio catches fire"? any publisher would use this PR speak

surely they wouldnt delay it again after delaying it once already 2 (?) months ago, would they

hate to sound like a r* fanboy and I was pissed off too with no requirements released but I rly do feel like it'll be out on 27th even though it seems like they're not confident, waiting is the only thing we can do unless they answer more questions like they did to that one guy asking about a delay

Coming in 2014

Expect big things in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V next year including:

GTA Online Heists. We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year.

GTAV Story Mode Updates. For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.

I expect them to give an actual answer instead of redundant bullsh*t. It's like saying "GTA V is coming January 27th, or is it?" Cut the f*cking crap for f*cks sake, give a direct answer. We're less than a month from the release and they can't do that? What kind of company is this?

Again, very afraid because they aren't saying a word about the release date, they are open to delay it if needed. The last time they acknowledged January 27th as the release date was when actually?

On an unrelated note, on how many dvd's would the game be in retail?

I find it funny that you need to be told this, Rockstar support questions are not answered by the devs, support team can only give you the information they have.

"What kind of company is this?"

Any company anywhere would answer the question like this, no publisher would be stupid enough to make guarantees on this subject matter because they are shooting themselves in the foot if some extraordinary happens

Keep in mind R* always do this with their releases, drip feeding information and letting the hype market the game for them.

Every part of the company represents the whole. If they can't keep their customer support team informed and assured, that's their problem.

Customer support aren't there to inform you about unannounced information. They're there to help you troubleshoot and fix a problem with the product, just like any other customer support team. Edited by Flight_School_12/08

Well... Rockstar works tomorrow there no more holiday... unless I'm wrong?

It's possible they took the whole week off and won't resume normal operations until Monday January 5th. I'm counting on this being what actually is happening and we won't hear a peep from them until Tuesday the 6th.

Every employee representing the company doesn't have any logical link to their customer support being informed of all the details of the game. Unless you can think of a reason why customer support needs to know information that is unnecessary to the function of their job, it is unrealistic to expect them to know such things.

Their job is support for the released game. PC version hasn't been released, therefore they won't be told jack about it, or otherwise they will be told not to say with 100% assurance since they cannot know how confident the people working on the game and its distribution, completely separate parts of the company, are that the final release is as stated.

Your company would have a whole lot of leaks and chaos. Hierarchies do exist in companies, and you as a support staff don't need to know things that aren't known to the public domain either, and won't. They'll assure you of the latest information they have. What's wrong here is the information Rockstar gives them as being for granted but it's really not.

Knowing the release date of the game isn't part of their job? Because their answers are quite insecure about it.

Note that i'm not criticizing the Rockstar Support's individuals, i'm sure they would do a great job if they weren't as in the dark as we are.

But in its current state, Rockstar might as well be outsourcing their Support team from a small office in India.
