  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

One online.

It's good to see that we've hit three people twice in just one week.

Still no changenumbers, updates or preorder though. i just want a tiny bit of news. Just a tiny bit. Just some sort of nudge to tell us they haven't all fallen asleep at their desks and everything is going still.

We are close to the release so I think the online players are a good sight even if we don't see any changes.

No updates COULD mean less buggs because there aren't big ones.. So they are testing and looking for some big bugs to fix them..

Also I'm sure the next change isn't that far away.

The player amount is nothing compared to what's happening behind the scenes, hopefully. I've been sceptical of Rockstar f*cking this one up, but the fact they're looking for a night time shift games tester is slightly worrying me. But well this is Rockstar so testing quality is near nil. :p (different from optimisation)

Downloading IV again after deleting/reinstalling it for more than i can count, dang! nothing worth to play, guess nothing can make us feel close to V other than it's older sister, now lemme enjoy the crashes and jaggies for the next 52 days before departing to the city of Los Santos.

Anybody tries the "Dynamic super resolution" new technology that comes with the new geforces?

I've been doing the same lately.

Running the game in 4k downsampled. It looks a lot sharper, and most of the aliasing seems to be gone. The cutscenes look particularly sharp, because they used to be blurry as sh*t.

I have. Some games seem to recognize it automatically, because I didn't need to fiddle with the GeForce Experience menu to enable it in IV. The game just recognized that my card was capable of running the resolution, allowing me to select 3840x2160 by default in the graphics menu.

It works quite well, and livens up some older games quite nicely. The performance impact isn't as huge as I thought it would be. At least not with Far Cry 3 and GTA IV. I still maintain above 60 with FC3 a lot of the time, and IV didn't tank to the 30s like I thought it would. Instead, the difference is only 10-15 FPS, which is odd.

It's just downsampling, it's nothing new but it's a lot easier to enable.

I've tried it with a few games, works pretty well on TF2 and HL2.

Looks neat, pretty smart way to bypass them jaggies, how much frames do you get with that, the average ?i might give it a try on my 970, tho seriously doubt it will be playable since i'll be using ENB...

Minimum/maximum 30-98 (100-200 in some interiors, but those hardly count). Usually 48-67.

Not using any ENBs, so I can't speak to that. But I think of downsampling as both a way to bypass the aliasing and make the game prettier without ENB. That's just me though.

GTA IV is pretty much CPU dependent, so cranking up the resolution won't change the performance much, unless you have middle-to-weak processor.

Best way to get the right frames is in the out on a sunny day while keeping the view in center,i'd guess the Avg would be around 45,that's without the dips, ill pass, lol.

Niko here i come !

Ran the benchmark tool. Dunno how accurate it'd be for the rest of the game, but here you go.

Haha.. I know what you meant man. I was just pointing out R* logic. 'So many are excited for a soundtrack competition', and turn a blind eye towards millions of others excited for the PC version...

Oh R*, thou art a heartless b*tch...

Hey I just noticed something while watching the "FPS view" trailer on Steam.

At some point while gunning down some gangstas, the guy throws a grenade without selecting it first, like a quick throw.

Can you even do this on consoles with a controller when you're on foot?

In PS4 I think if you slide your finger upwards through the touchpad, but I may have this wrong, never seen it in any video.

Can someone confirm this?

I though you could also throw a grenade but these are the only actions you can do with the touchpad http://www.gamespot.com/articles/gta-5s-special-ps4-dualshock-4-features-revealed/1100-6423377/

Wow, that's actually great. Thank you for providing the image. Then I will also play the game downsampled at 4K with my future high-end PC, similar to yours :D

Interesting how DOA has their graphs disabled, and Rockstar just allows us to watch their graphs.

https://steamdb.info/app/311730/- DOA steamdb

They also added in a 10% discount for it, something Rockstar wouldn't do for the longtime PC fans.
