Steam sale is over and there's still no activity on SteamDB. I was secretly hoping for a bit of change on the steam page after the sale but alas I've left myself disappointed.

Honestly, some people dream about being a game tester, trust me, even if I never ever experienced it myself, you certainly don't want to be a game tester, one of my cousin had an experience with a well known game company testing a racing game in 2008, he basically was asked to test certain parts of a race, his job was to make sure there was no way to break a wall at a particular spot of the game, and for 10hrs, he had to constantly crash at the exact same spot to make 100% sure the game was bug free and there was no glitch, let me tell you after 10hrs of the same exact same crash at the same exact spot, this job is really boring. And he had to make a report on this too. After that, he had to test the AI cars to make sure none of them could be destroyed, constantly crashing into the same AI car on the same race using the same car for another 10-12hrs. That job seems to be a dream for a lot of you, think about it twice. Yes its rewarding cause at one point he was asked to test the whole game and make sure it was possible to beat it and finish first without any problems, but that's a really small portion of the job, and they are checked when they get inside, and outside to make sure they don't have any electronics that could hold any piece of the games, no usb keys, nothing, he even wasn't allowed to carry his phone inside, he had to leave it in a locker near the security entrance, they had metal detectors and his clothes were inspected daily to make sure he didn't hide something in them, he didn't have any Internet access there either to prevent any leaks, Yes they have every food and drink they want (no alcool or drug is the only exception and during final testing of the game he wasn't allowed to drink redbull or other energetic drinks), its well paid also, but extremely boring at some times and believe it or not, they always recruit game testers because they have troubles finding good candidates, that's why some games have glitch and bugs when they go out, its because they didn't find a good candidate to test it seriously.

 

Poor tester who tested out the strip club in GTA V. He had to throw money for hours and compliment 'ze ladies' ahah.

At some point while gunning down some gangstas, the guy throws a grenade without selecting it first, like a quick throw.

Can you even do this on consoles with a controller when you're on foot?

I have a lot of games left to play in my library, hope I get to finish them before the release, also works for freeing some HDD space. I also bought the Far Cry Franchise Pack so I have some fun over there before it arrives.

In PS4 I think if you slide your finger upwards through the touchpad, but I may have this wrong, never seen it in any video.
