I have a bad feeling the entire achievement system will be in Social Club. Hate that f*cking service. It's going to be just like Max Payne 3 all over again. Ugh..

 

 

 

I like to beat to 100% the games I really loved.

Hopefully there will be Steam achievements, 'cause I really don't think I'd bother 100%-ting this game if it's only Social Club ones.

I am sure everyone knows this but here is my 2 cents. The PC version doesn't need polishing. The PC versions is most likely the base version with everything else being downgraded from it. So that means if the PC version supports 4K that means the developers sat and made 4K resolution textures. Which means the PC version was completed first. Thus the statement "The PC version needs a little more time to be polished" is total BULL SH*T

Yep, they wouldn't announce it supports 4K if it wasn't a true 4K, not just lame ass upscaling from 1080p or 1440p.

It would be easy for me to get every achievement on those nowadays casual games if I wanted to, but I enjoy playing games in my way of playing games rather than bothering doing 5 headshots in a mission or killing someone with a knife, or some other bullsh*t, mainly when it's my first playthrough on the game. This is the true achievement of a game, not the "press 'start game' to gain a trophy".

 

If you take a look at my steam profile, I have nearly 134 hours of Devil May Cry 3 gameplay, 78 hours of GTA IV (I didn't beat it yet because I'm lazy), ~80 hours of Simcity 4 and 140 hours of GTA TBoGT gameplay and I haven't bothered to achieve a single achievement on these games, I don't need that because I know how to have fun on a game by myself instead of needing that a company says how to have fun on it by putting some bronze trophies that will award me nothing...

 

BTW: Before buying DMC 3 on steam, I had 80 hours on Dante save file and I had only 99hours on Vergil save because the game can only count at 99:99:99, I must had nearly 200 hours of gameplay on the Vergil save file on the "yar har" version of the game.

In single player it could be possible, but not in multiplayer because the money is stored in the server.

I think GTA V just sync your status with their cloud servers anytime you see the loading circle.. So it would be possible to change your stats and then wait for the next Sync..

not everyone does, unfortunately. but of course the PC version was completed first or the game couldn't possibly be releasing in less than 2 weeks on ps4 and xb1. i've been trying to people this since the delay was first announced, but some rather dwell in continual ignorance than confront the reality of matters.

 

there's not a chance in hell that rockstar made dedicated (from scratch) ps4/xb1 versions in such a short time. it's logistically impossible and completely nonsensical from a developmental perspective. the current gen console iterations are derivatives of the PC version ported over the course of several months in contrast to the PC version which was developed from scratch over the course of years. the fact that these consoles are architecturally the same as PC (x86) makes the process seamless and quicker than ever before.

 

anyone who chooses to argue against this is simply delusional and/or willfully ignorant. it is an incontrovertible fact that ports cannot be made unless there is an existent, finalized base version. the process is really quite simple to understand. it's not rocket science and you don't need to be a game developer to understand it.

I have an important question guys.

Is the UK version of the game censored in any way (even small things)?

And is if safe to assume the UK PC version will be totally censorship free, without any cut content?

I'm worried because i have seen that GTA games have been censored in some countries. Even Europe, sometimes...

I'd personally like to buy a completely uncut version for the PC, and my favourite choice would be the english version.

It's possible certain things will be censored.. I'm skeptical of buying a ROW key that isn't avalible in Australia due to our apparent hatred of FUN. (SR IV dildo was deleted from the game) We don't know for certain until its avalible however.. or shortly before its released they say it in a tweet or something. This is all guess however, UK censoring this is doubtful seeming as you have nearly if not all games uncensored. Unfortunately i'm quite certain that us Aussies will get a censored game or atleast a watered down game.

It doesn't have to be a final build. A port can come from non-final but stable builds too. As long as it's feature-complete and stable, the build can be ported.

 

Really i agree with andreyK i feel like PC gamers are really assholes. Its called being satisfied and not being greedy, not called "console lover" or that we have a low end system.

I have a GTX760 and i lock my games at 30fps so i know anything below that sucks.

Doesn't mean it'll be delayed. We're still 2 months away from PC version release, and with the CG version being released in about a week, it would be disadvantageous to R* by opening the PC pre-order.

For a second I thought I went into the wrong thread, and was reading about the setups for running GTA V. Cut the frame rate talk already, most of this talk is based in assumptions that could not even be a fact, GTA V was created on PC from the ground that i know for a fact, when Aaron Garbut said in his interview that when they started "transferring" V to the NG that they paid attention to every detail and remade them and it was like a game from the ground he was BSing, because it wasn't redone it was like that since the very beginning and it's being created for almost 5 years. Also if people pay attention by their last "excuse" for GTA IV, what he said it's not possible because the consoles game being DX9 wouldn't be transformed into this DX11 GTA V with all the whistlers and bells we're getting. As I said in 2013 the game is a proper NG title that makes games like WD blush and that is only possible because it was created this way. So if they say it will support 4K it means it's prepared for it and it's not a scaling, that is why the ULTRA textures and settings will make the difference and there won't be any issues, the only limit will be the setup each one will use that's all. Oh and about the 30/60 fps talk ... who cares each one plays the way they like, stable 30 fps is playable and in some cases is more pleasent for people with slower reaction time... even under that is playable too, those who say otherwise never experienced the cradle of gaming or never had to deal with low hardware. I played games like Resident Evil 1 using only software, back then MMX was an amazing thing but even without ti it was a nice experience, later I played it again with maxed out settings, but back then was enjoyable... I had no other way, so it's just a matter of empiricism. If you can play with other settings great for you it means you can, but don't take down others who don't have the means to do so and feel happy with less.

So back to the steam topic, anything relevant in the past weeks? Is the "bug" still showing? I had a talk with someone and we concluded something... most likely these dates aren't set by STEAM, but by the developer who updates their content no? So if the December date shows is not related to the server, it's not related to STEAM or to anything like it and was set for some reason by ROCKSTAR themselves. Most likely nothing will happen but this makes it more awkward, specially because this "bug" happens with other games which end up to be the case.

UK doesn't have any laws regarding violence in video games. Games in UK are now rated using PEGI.

 

In Germany, however, they're rated by USK. That is why games in Germany ALWAYS have "low violence" versions, or "de-Nazified" versions (Such as Wolfenstein: TNO).

 

Same with Australia. Games there are rated by the ACB.

 

 

So yeah, f*ck the USK and ACB.
