It's enough for me he compares it to making a game from scratch, apparently they worked on NG and PC more than they worked on the LG game itself or something. Jesus.

 

And people still don't want to believe GTA V on last-gen was just a cash-in rather than the real thing.

 

 

So all the people that don't own a pc/ps4/xboxone shouldn't have experienced the game? it wasn't a cash grab, it was the maximum they could have accomplished on such old machines.

 

I'm actually happy that PC version didn't come out along with 360/ps3, we would only have gotten a slightly better game. But now we're getting a masterpiece 2 times better than the original masterpiece.

The lack of ANY mention of the PC version in all these videos this week only solidifies in my mind that the move to delay PC version 3 f*cking months was purely financial. That they wanted to maximize profits by keeping the PC version at bay for as long as possible so people would be more inclined to cave in and buy the console version at full price.

i thought it was glaringly obvious since the beginning. never once did i believe in that "just a little longer for extra polish and development time!" bullsh*t.

 

i may be cynical, but i also have a basic understanding of game development plus evidence and facts that such a delay is simply not possible (releasing ports of a base version before the base version is finished.)

 

oh well, the bastards can right ahead and milk their consoles community, i don't care. i'm done with supporting rockstar after gta v anyways.

Lack of System requirements can mean mostly two things, either the game is friendly to wide variety of computers (thanks to good optimization) or is like AC:U with Cosmic requirements and is dedicated to those with high end computers only, but when you think about it, both reasons are valid, and this silence makes sense in both cases, because if the game works as good as Max Payne 3 theres nothing to worry about and they know that, and if the game is only for modern high end computers, game will work nice on them. In the end, silence will come to an end as early as in January 2015, just assuming though. Still, they could give us some attention, nothing explains this neglect, except for the financial reasons, console versions must sell first...

Honestly, I'm not expecting a single word about PC until January 13th the earliest. This is 2 weeks from the launch on PC. Why? Because let's be honest, they love consoles and look how late in the release window for next gen did it take them to start openly marketing the game. And even then I feel the marketing campaign in these last 2 weeks before release, is pretty week thus far.

 

Now imagine instead of releasing a version for two stupid f*cking consoles, pocketing console maker money from Sony and Microsoft, and knowing they have a HUGE market to sell to, now they are only targeting PC and making $0 in return for putting the game on PC outside of the actual game sales. Which, of course, are pathetically small compared to consoles.

 

All this adds up to them not giving a f*ck about the few of us who really do love and appreciate their games, but just hold our gaming to a higher standard. So we will get the shaft. Again. As we always do.

 

 

TL;DR - Earliest info on PC will come January 13th with probably 1/4th the effort that we're seeing in this console pre-release advertising

You know what sucks though? Youtube only supports 60 fps in 720p and 1080p videos, they wouldn't be able to make 4k 60 fps trailer.

So either 4k 30 fps or 1080p 60 fps I guess.

They'll do a separate run for "PC marketing" so to speak. As Tuskin said, there may very well be 4k screens and 60 FPS videos. But they won't come anytime soon. Late December at best, I'd say.

don't take this the wrong way, but for the fifteenth million time, GTA V on PC is NOT a console port. it's the other way around,actually.

 

the PS4/XB1 consoles did not even EXIST when the PC version of this game began development. there is a developer log that was discovered last year and several other pieces of detailed information showing that the PC version was developed independently and well before anyone even knew about the new consoles.

PC build is the base version for those ports.

 

they completed the PC version first and then ported the game over to those consoles over the course of several months.

you love blowing smoke about the new consoles and their "power" (outdated hardware), can you pay the same respect to the PC platform for once as well? after all, it's the very reason you're going to be making so much money this holiday season. it's the least you could do, for your PC fans and your developers who worked so hard on it.

Can't wait to see some screens with proper AA. The new version looks great but really needs WAY more AA. Though generally aliasing tends to stick out more in screenshots than videos/actually playing.

Could be testing for memory leaks just letting the game run over a set amount of time. That was a huge issue with GTA IV back in 2008/2009 when the game first came out for PC. It would run okay for the first 20 minutes and slowly become a stuttery mess thanks to some nasty memory leaks.

 

Either way, I don't really care about these Steam users playing. It means nothing to me, when the real important stuff is already locked in and nothing will change it. PC is releasing January 27th at the very earliest, and no amount of users playing the game on Steam before then will change that fact. It is full on suffering from here on out, and it will only get drastically worse in the coming weeks as is already clear. Trailers that never even mention the two letters "PC" and interviews that only talk about PS4. It's a joke. Even Xbox is taking the backseat in this release, and it is coming out the same day as PS4. PC? Hahaha we are lucky to receive acknowledgement that they are still even working on the f*cking game for us. Let alone how much effort they are putting into bug testing it.
