Most active in weeks. Funny how Rockstar can snap the hype in half just with one sentence. "Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014 with the PC version to follow January 27, 2015."

I really hope we can activate the retail copies on Steam. I can get the retail copy cheaper, but I won't get it if it can't be activated on Steam. (I don't even have a DVD-ROM anymore )

 

Well, I guess next month I'm gonna need to avoid this forum like Ebola (and all the gaming websites as well).

 

Do you guys think it's really coming in January or do we have to wait until after the mobile release?

(I can imagine it: We have nothing to share about the PC version at this time. We are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the mobile platforms.)

 

I'm joking of course, but although I'm not sad about the delay itself, I'm still annoyed with the way we are treated.

 

If they would have posted one PC screenshot or even mentioned a single PC exclusive feature, I would have been alright with the delay.

All of this for an delay...I don't know hmm did they delay payday because one kick from the cloaker crashed the game no there for that's not an valid reason oh well im already going buy this when its like 90% off like an good pc gamer I can already see the steam sale traffic on that day I just hope steam has workshop for it then it would be worth my 10$.

And i stil can't believe PC got delayed...

I guess the wait will be even worse when all my friends will be getting the game for PS4 on the 18th of november...

 

By The Way now that PS4 can be preordered i DEMAND the Steam pre-order (and Xbox One guys should also have their digital preorder).

If there's pre-load i'll get it alongside my collection edition (the retail one), which would take me a couple of days to receive it.

I don't care if i have to pay a total of 80 euros. I'm not going to wait for a single minute more.

Clap clap clap for you man. I watched a lot of gameplays, none of them with spoilers on it tho. And I played it twice on PS3. I did my best to avoid the history but still, I ended up knowing some little details from the campaign.

GTAV for the old gen consoles was also delayed in Japan (no idea about the rest of Asia). Could be a localization thing, or simply due to demand thay want to stock the western countries first, where (console) sales are the highest. Also, I believe the Japanese version has cut content (torture scene) so that costs time to remove.

 

 

Japanese version is censored that's the only reason it's always a month late compared to West and rest of Asia.

They basically confirmed returning features, but they did that 4 months ago, I was talking about the latest article.

I remember reading that before, but until I see that on newswire or on the retail box I'll take it with a grain of salt.

I also remember someone from the support saying not long before the delay that the PC version is definitely coming this fall.

Sorry, but I don't see any new exclusive features mentioned there. Is the delay a feature? The game being optimized might also be a returning "feature" from the older GTA games, though.

I don't necessarily want screenshots, I just wanted for them to give us anything exclusive to PC so we can discuss something.

 

The only thing they mentioned about the PC was the delay and that is what we are talking about even one month later because we have 0 new information.

 

They did the same thing with the cover art last year. It was supposed to be revealed at the end of January and on the 31st they announced the 4 months delay to September. We got the cover art 2 months later.

They are going to do nothing to potentially reduce PS4/XOne sales. The people who are going to get the PC version and only that version have already made up their mind and there isn't much Rockstar can do to persuade them otherwise.

 

Though, I imagine there are a few people who might be getting it on PS4/XOne who might hold of for the PC version if some screen shots, videos, etc... come out before the console launch, thus losing them a potential sale (or double dip).

 

I honestly don't believe we will see anything from the PC version until after the console launch, late November at the earliest.

 

 

As for the delay, I don't see that happening again but anything is possible.
