Preorder month

  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

Recommended Posts

Its so frustrating see that in 1 month console players will be enjoying for the second time the game and we still waiting. f*ck you R!

Well it'll be worth the wait, also Ground Zeroes is releasing this December for PC so guess we have something to play in the holidays.

Yeah. That feeling is pretty sour, isn't it?

I've obviously gotten over the delay itself at this point. But the fact that platforms that weren't even publicly known at the time of V's initial conception are getting the game before us, it's not even a thing of envy or hatred towards the other side, it's just the notion itself that bothers me. Like it feels wrong.

Something akin to having someone cut in front of you in a very long line. Then have that someone tell you to go back to the f*cking beginning of it, because they paid the bouncer more money to get in.

Bit of an inaccurate comparison, but eh, whatever. We'll have more stuff to do and play this time around. Unlike the summer wait after the announcement, which was empty in terms of new releases.

I just want to know how much better the PC version will look.

Not that much better. Expect high AA and smooth 60fps. Textures? Most likely the same.

I'm sure there are plenty of other things that will also look better on PC.

No matter if GTA V will be modifiable or not, it'll still look better than current gen. If it turns out to be as easily modifiable as GTA IV, then we're in for a real treat.

I understand what you're saying, but it shouldn't be us the ones that have to modified the game to add "special little features" and stuff, that is R* job.

They can do whatever they want with the game, everyone will still complain about "Special little features" that Rockstar could have added.

They're not relying on modders doing their work

Every time i see a comment regarding modding, is like it makes allusion to "if they don't do it, we'll do it" it shouldn't be this way. (the modding community is awesome, don't get me wrong)

but we'll see then what special features pc version will have.

yeah, i've been enjoying the hell of out shadow of mordor. amazing game. most of the coming games will keep me busy for a while. unfortunately, gta v isn't really something i'm anticipating with great excitement anymore.....it sucks because i was so hyped just a few weeks ago, too.

it's both hilarious and ridiculous that a game no one knew was coming to PC just 2 months ago (ground zeroes), was announced after gta v, will have steam pre orders available before gta v, and will now be coming out before gta v. f*cking hilarious.

f*ck you, rockstar

It absolutely should, modders can add anything from real-life car models to a Superman mod. These are the things that Rockstar won't add to the game, normally due to licensing issues or simply because it would never "Fit" in GTA V.

That is actually my point... that's for what modding is, not to add things to the game that should be in it, but are lacking due to marketing strategies.

Ah, I see. Could you give me some examples on what should be in the game by now? Except for heists of course, it'll be here at some point.

Dukes?

Special features for those coming from previous version? what about for those that don't have a console? do i have to buy a console plus the game in order to have that content in my pc version? do i have to pay extra money? or do i have to add it by mods? how does it work?

Why not treat everyone the same?

I'm not completely following, Dukes is a CG exclusive?

The special features should be embedded into the Special and Collector editions of the game, meaning if you already had Special or Collector, you'll receive the proper features. If you haven't played on last gen / didn't get Special or Collector edition, then you'll have to pay more to get either of those two.

My GPU usage at GTA IV...

GTA V must use 96 - 99% of this crap, otherwise I'll ask a refund, and f*ck Rockstar.

Didn't someone say that GTA V O'Clock is skipping an episode in favor of a special next week with "Hopefully good information"?

The so called research they do is take credits from someone else and claim they found it first, they probably get all their info from here but don't credit the person.

What kind of GPU do you have?

My GPU usage (Entered the game when it started rising, exited when it dropped)

My CPU usage as well.

So we can conclude it is an awful unoptimized game, correct?

Obviously, I was just wondering as I haven't read much into it.

I have a 750 Ti and a i3 3220, I blame my processor being too sh*tty for such old game =P

@fefenc No, I said I'll ask a refund if GTA V acts the same, unlikely... but possible.

EDIT: Tried to disable i3's HT, no effect...

GTA V Is On PC

^I also have a GTX 750 Ti, except I have an i5 3330. I'm guessing I will be able to run this game on high settings if not ultra, if it is properly optimized, that is. I'm able to run Watch Dogs on ultra with that setup, so I think I will be fine.

Wether using the i3 3210 or the i5 3470 , the GPU usage won't go past 60-70%.... Using a GTX 750 Ti custom OC'd btw.

5:40 if timelaps doesn't work.

Look at the sign on the left, it disappear and reappears differently, without touching it nor breaking it.

It's Online though, which means laggy as hell, but still.
