NVADIA GCs doesn't support mantle due to NVADIA arrogancy because AMD doesn't have any problem with them using it. I want mantle on GTA V PC for better optimization

 

I've been watching you posting. Worst kind of masterracer ever. Please keep fanboyism on Consoles. If you don't know the reason behind nvidia not using Mantle you must have mental problems (to not use the word ret- twice in a row).

 

NVIDIA using Mantle would be like Microsoft saying they're gonna use OSX's Kernel for the next Windows. NVIDIA is a company based around a single line of products, it doesn't make any sense for them to start depending on their main competitor.

 

 

To add to this, historically R* have work with Nvidia, not AMD. I know there were rumors going around of mantle support but that's unlikely particularly as DX 11.3 (which will bring many features of DX12) is just around the corner and DX12 is set to come in late 2015, it's highly unlikely we'll see mantle.

It has been brought to my attention that developers do indeed edit the Steam Store pages of their games, not Valve. So this seems like a very real possibility.

Oh yes, I took it. I posted it many pages back, and I tried to go through a bunch of sh*t to prove that i'm not faking it with inspect element or whatever.

 

I've done inspect element jokes in the past. I posted them in this very thread. But that release date? I didn't even do so much as move my mouse cursor over it.

 

Here's how I came across it;

 

1. Went to Steam Database page. http://steamdb.info/app/271590/

 

2. Clicked on "Information"

 

3. Clicked on "Grand Theft Auto V on Steam"

 

I was then brought to the store page, and I saw what I posted in that screenshot. Blank space where the small, 32x32 "Grand Theft Auto V" icon used to be (upper right), no green release date box, and the release date to the right was set to "Dec 2014".

 

I refreshed the page right after, to check if it was a glitch or something, and the entire thing went back to normal. Another person on GTAF also saw the same exact thing, so it couldn't have been an isolated glitch in my case (using Chrome). I do not remember the person's name, but he posted in this thread, and he acknowledged my claim several times, so it shouldn't be difficult to track him down.

 

I'd explain in more detail, but we have been through this many pages back. So apologies if my attempts at validating my find seem really f*cking effortless right now.

Edit2: With the recent news, along with the Newswire incident, I'm a bit more trusting on the whole idea that even Rockstar can make mistakes and leak unintentional information. So it might very well be possible that they edited the Steam store by accident.

If it only lasted a split-second or it was purely a glitch, we won't likely see it on a web cache.

You must be the one with mental problems here. I don't see any problem with NVida using mantle since DX12 will be based on mantle, but I see with they keeping their sabotage against AMD GCs *cof cof gamesworks cof*...

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Microsoft has used something very important from the MAC on Windows that pissed SJ a lot, so....
