  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

Thanks.

Oh god... This GPU brand talk again. Please make an NVIDIA vs AMD thread, go there and don't come back.

There is a thread for that here, which is where I moved the posts to. Keep the graphics-cards out of here, fellas. This thread is for GTA V and Steam only.

Well we haven't had much luck today, I hope to see A LOT this week! :)

I don't. I'm ready for a week of disappointment and GTA Online snapmatic updates.

Is that another video of people just talking about GTA V?

It's actually a very chocolate-voiced fellow from GTA Series Videos. To be honest, I quite enjoy his "Hot Topic" videos, as they cover only known facts and make it abruptly clear that everything else is pure speculation. Not a lot of people do that with V anymore. In fact, noone does. CVG, maybe. But even their speculation seems to be taken as fact nowadays, lol.

He's done another one of those "Hot Topic" videos regarding the Chiliad mystery which, in my opinion, was in need of cleaning up after so many ludicrous theories being thrown into the air.

It's just nice to see a bit of simple talking amidst all the click-bait bullsh*t.

I'm not sure, but if they didn't in the past they may make an exception for V, as It's bound to be large in size and an extremely relevant release on its own.

Not saying Max Payne 3 and LA Noire weren't relevant. It's just that they weren't GTA.

Pretty sure we'll end up getting a pre-load. Lots of games get those on Steam nowadays, way more than before.

Also, didn't V have a pre-load on PS3? I could have sworn it did. That's how some of the audio files leaked, right?

I can confirm that you could preload Max Payne 3 on Steam, that brings me to the conclusion that GTAV is no exception.

Yeah that's the thing what's the M.O. of Rockstar on steam ?, have they done it before on other games such as MP3 & LA Norie, think its pretty important to know this cuz if they did then they would if not then we might see an exception as you said.

Yup, that's what i was waiting to hear, great.

Now im definitely getting it on steam.index___copy_by_mkiiix-d7ybw9a.png

Btw, little bit off-topic, but do you think they will release the game on Steam at the same time/date in whole world ?

I don´t remember how it was with GTA IV....but it would really upset me if I had to wait like 3 more days just because I don´t live in for example in the North America.

Pretty sure Rockstar releases their games worldwide on the same date, as far as EU and US territories are concerned.

For example, I don't remember there being more than one launch date for V's console versions. I hear about different launch dates all the time with other games. Not with V, though.

I'm sure It'll be on the exact same day for most. Time differs based on timezone, obviously. New Steam releases, at least for me, are either at midnight, a few hours past midnight or later on that day (usually 7 PM or so).

Brazil had V 2 days later, probably for shipping reasons.

You just got me thinking, is it possible to actually start up the reload by somehow bypassing the files? or is the .exe not present?

P.S I'm asking because I never did a pre-load before.

Well, Pre-Load downloads 99% of the files and when the game is released it downloads the last bach of files, which is mostly executables (.exe). It's not like you get all the files when pre-loading. It's jus that you don't need to download whole game when it is released.

Nope, Steam is very, very, and I repeat very secure in that regard. You are able to access the files I think but nothing more, you can't crack them either to execute the game.

In addition, Steam preloads are fully encrypted, with the decryption key only being released at the time of the first regional release. Edited by NTAuthority

Inactive in GTA/R* title modification indefinitely pursuant to a court order obtained by TTWO. Good job acting against modding!

Why?

Is it because steam limits certain files from being downloaded that would execute the game?

It's probably because they don't want games to leak before release date.

I think we are more than well prepared at this point, I mean, that's what we have been doing in the last 2-3 years ;)

We are seasoned veterans in words like "soon, next week, in the coming weeks, we have no news at this point, check newswire"

There is a trick involving VPN which can be used to start pre-loading and then unlocking few hours/days earlier.

Its not a trick, just use a VPN and connect to for example Australia, and you can play it. I did that with COD Ghosts.

NTA explains it much more straightforward, I think the reason it obvious. Avoiding leaks and gameplays before its time.

Do that and enjoy your ban on Steam. Steam aren't Origin, who don't seem to give a sh*t about who bypasses their DRM apparently.
