Although you just reminded me that the game going gold is a thing, so probably not as simple as I'm imagining it to be, lol.

The game has to be almost finished. They are updating it like crazy compared to 2 - 3 months ago.

Two possibilities come to mind.

1. Two people are working overtime.

2. Two people copied it to a flash drive and are using it on their personal computer at home.

 

Edit: Rockstar should consider doing a GTA Online beta like The Crew, to sort out the bugs. But I guess they have. Its just the Xbox 360 and Play Station 3 versions.

But that would mean that physical copies would come out later. And we will see a major crash through Steam, PSN and XBL because everyone is going to download the game at the same time.

I don't think the game of this caliber can be just copied on the flash drive and be taken home by employees (unless it's Sam and Dan Houser)

I don't think they would be making a trailer. At least that wouldn't explain the three updates that happend like half an hour ago.
