AMD A8-6600K 4.2 GhZ , quad core

8 GB DDR3 RAM

Asus Radeon HD 6670, 2GB VRAM

Can I expect a playable framerate with Xbox360 like graphics at 720p?

Maybe at low settings, GPU upgrade is highly recommended for anything else though.

Thanks! I don't really care about graphics all that much. I just want a nice framerate.

AMD FX-6300 Six-Core @ 3.5Ghz

Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 Ghz Edition 2GB

8GB RAM

GTA IV can run at max settings and get around 40-50 FPS. 30 FPS with ENB.

Max Payne 3 at max settings, 2x MSAA, 60FPS.

If V is a better port than IV, or at least half as good as MP3's PC version, than I should be good to go.

I was going to upgrade from a GTX 680 to a GTX 780 Ti soon, but I read some reviews of people complaining about "Coil winding", so I'm left in doubt.

Also my Baby:

CPU: i7-3820 4.4GHz (Overclocked)

GPU: GTX 680 4GB EVGA (EVGA For life, might upgrade to 780Ti.)

RAM: Kingston 16GB (Forgot speed, but it's good enough.)

OS: Windows 8 64-bit (Honestly, I don't understand why people complain about this OS, it's so good.)

Heh, no idea what that means. All I know is that it's faster than my EVGA gtx670 2gb card was and runs everything I throw at it maxed at 1920x1080 with 60fps or higher average. Which is aaaaall i want :)

You can play at low-medium @ 720p.

HD 6670 isn't that much good of a card. Get a 7770 or 7790 instead.

FYI, Radeon HD 7790 is the same card you'll get in Xbox ONE.

Heck, V isn't a port, so expect a performance parity with MP3. That's a great rig if you ask me.

Coil winding can sometimes happen to new cards, it should stop after some use. Also, it's not a sign of a card dying, just in case you were worried.

GTX 9xx series are supposed to be revealed this month, so I would hold back for either the 780 Ti to drop in price or wait for the new GTX980.

Isn't the 8xx series that is supposed to be announced? I heard that Nvidia was skipping it, but I also heard that was just speculation.

Well I find that my current machine is no longer adequate for gaming. So next month ill be getting myself a custom built laptop. (For the portability.) I'm not looking for ultimate performance, I believe this should do.

zuSpjrB.png

with Windows 7

Hopefully it will run 8th generation games + GTA 5 at a decent frame rate. If it looks better that the xbox 1 and PS4 version ill be all smiles.

lol, I remember getting MX-4 off Amazon for 6.12$ US awhile back. Still have one brand new sealed. If I remember correctly the package came from Europe I think, took 2 weeks to get here.

CPU: AMD A8-6600K

GPU: Radeon HD 7770 (Planning on using mantle if available)

RAM: 1x8GB DDR3-1600

HDD: 1.5TB 7200RPM Seagate Barracuda

Should run the game at 1080p 30fps, maybe with FXAA or some kind of post-process AA heck maybe even 2xMSAA if I'm lucky.

While I'm not sure if it's confirmed yet (Evidence keeps piling up though) they're skipping the 800 series to match their already released mobile series (900m series).

Do you think I will be able to play the game in my notebook?
Intel Core i5 @2.5GHz to 3.1
Nvidia GeForce GT 630M 2GB Dedicated VRAM
8GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 8.1

500GB HDD, already have ~150 available
I was able to run Watch Dogs @ 60fps in low.
Thanks in advance ^^.

My present PC is crap, I'll be getting this soon and most probably play GTAV on it too!

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Processor: AMD FX 8320 AM3+ 3.5 Ghz
RAM: 4x2GB RAM
GPU: Zotac Geforce GTX 660 or Sapphire Radeon R9 270x (not sure yet)
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97
PSU: Corsair VS550 550w (not sure yet)
HDD: WD 1TB
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO
Hope I can play it on Ultra or at least on high. :D

If I were you, I would go for Intel CPU instead of AMD.

What's wrong with AMD?

Anyway @Kevin3014:

I'd go with R9 270X.

Also make sure the motherboard actually supports quad-channel RAM.

I don't have much idea about "quad-channel RAM", could you help me out, please?

Quad-channel RAM is when 4 RAM modules of the same speed are put together to achieve more bandwidth (64x4=256 bit) or "RAID 0" like.

FX-8320 doesn't support Quad-channel RAM though, so I would buy 2 sticks of 4GB RAM instead of filling the slots with 4 sticks of 2GB RAM. So you can easily add more RAM since there's still 2 more slots available.

Stupid question but, which is the right format? 4x2 or 2x4? :p

I'm kinda confused here.

There is NO RIGHT format. It would benefit you in the future if you go for 2x4 as you'll only need to buy 2 sticks if you want to upgrade, whereas 4x2 would mean you need to buy 4 new sticks.
