GTA V General Modding Discussion

Recommended Posts

Rockstar never officialy support mods since GTA 3 lol .

The only reason GTA san and GTA 4 was able to mod easily beacause people find a way to mod . So give it a break ,the game just came out yesterday. You will probably see some mod in a few weeks .

You and many other people will choose mods, but Rockstar made their choose and they choose GTA Online over mods.

Well, if it's also about the line "maintaining the integrity of GTA Online and making sure that nothing detracts from that experience..."

So, they don't want people be distracted from Online experience by mods? What kind of bullsh*t is that? :D

Mods are a addition and free advertising, among other things. Also, being upset by Hot Coffee?

look at how f***ed up the ps3 version is online. They are releasing mods to just ruin the experience for other players. So you can kind of understand why rockstar arent too happy with modding atm.

Make a difference between Online mods and Singleplayer mods.

"Modder" has become a cuss word thanks to those cheatbags, but someone is all too happy to throw the respectable modders and the other ones in one bag.

The problem with the Playstation modding community is that they release everything. Not saying that the PC community doesn't, most is either released or sold but they are used differently. On Playstation and Xbox people use the mods maliciously to control other players. On PC people release things like the scripthook that are used to develop creative mods. Thankfully not much is released on Xbox.

well, if any of you would remember me after so many years being inactive,

I have taken a week off from work next month to make a Control-Center for GTA V similar to those for GTA IV/SA/3.

I am waiting for an asi loader and a few more of the natives to get decoded to come up with a beta

happy gaming,

One. Simple. Question.

HOW DID HE OPEN THESE ARCHIVES?

He must've found the RPF key and decrypted them.

Does anyone know if there is still handling.dat in GTA V?

It will still take me few days to look into GTA V files.

OMG the RPFs can be opened already? Wow I'm now more excited than the day the game got released!

The .rpf's on PC have the same structure as they do on consoles so all that was needed was the AES key to decrypt them which can be found in the games executable.
