Alvarez 8,412
Okay folks, the first thing you need to understand and always keep in mind: Rockstar are AGAINST modding. So far they did everything they can do prevent it or make it harder. You know it best, you are a mod tool developer, GooD-NTS. Godspeed in your efforts. Also, how would you read this statement now? I read it this way: "The priority for us is maintaining the integrity of GTA Online and making sure that nothing detracts from that experience... (considering that Online and Singleplayer use same files) ...We will be working to protect that environment and making sure nothing has a negative effect on the overall community,("we don't give a damn about modfrienliness, as long our Online isn't compromised"?) but we look forward to seeing and hearing about the experiences PC gamers have once the game is in their hands."(PC gamers+modding community may get their hands on modding the files, we're pretty okay with that) You know, when it means if i have to choose between mods and Online (by Online refusing to work due to modified files), i will go for mods. Mr.Arrow 763
Rockstar never officialy support mods since GTA 3 lol . The only reason GTA san and GTA 4 was able to mod easily beacause people find a way to mod . So give it a break ,the game just came out yesterday. You will probably see some mod in a few weeks . Well, if it's also about the line "maintaining the integrity of GTA Online and making sure that nothing detracts from that experience..." So, they don't want people be distracted from Online experience by mods? What kind of bullsh*t is that? Mods are a addition and free advertising, among other things. Also, being upset by Hot Coffee? "Modder" has become a cuss word thanks to those cheatbags, but someone is all too happy to throw the respectable modders and the other ones in one bag. So you can kind of understand why rockstar arent too happy with modding atm. The problem with the Playstation modding community is that they release everything. Not saying that the PC community doesn't, most is either released or sold but they are used differently. On Playstation and Xbox people use the mods maliciously to control other players. On PC people release things like the scripthook that are used to develop creative mods. Thankfully not much is released on Xbox. Alvarez
