I would love to see that cut heist - the Sharmoota Job modded back in, man that would be awesome.

 

I would also like to see the O'neil Farmhouse modded back in as a safehouse for Trevor because I really thought it had a cool interior and it was a darn shame to lay waste to it.

Wow. Just read through this whole thread. I'm a PS3/PS4 gamer, but I'm getting a new PC just for GTAV this fall and I'd like to participate in the mod scene however I can. I've been very active in the Content Creator community since it was released, and I see tons of unrealized potential in GTAV.

 

My main hope is to create my own single player missions that are interspersed with cutscenes I make in the movie maker. I've seen some GTAIV missions like this, (

) but I'm hoping that when R* releases their own Mission Creator that modders can open up that tool plus the GTAV video editor to make it even more flexible.

 

My big dream is to make a custom campaign. A single player experience with a new character where custom made story missions are played sequentially. Has anyone done anything similar for GTAIV, that you all know of? And do we have any idea if such a thing would be possible for GTAV?

I'd like mods to make drugs last longer, say, 3-4 minutes instead of wearing off after one minute like booze or almost instantly like weed.

 

I'd like a wider variety of drug choices and effects too. Weed could make time slow down a bit and jump ahead sporadically (as well as the effects it currently has), meth would make time slow down for everyone but you (remember the pill powerup in GTA3?), LSD would spawn clowns and aliens all around you that wouldn't actually hurt you but could throw off your lock-on targeting, shrooms could set off all sorts of colorful filters. Lol. Plus they should be storable in your inventory so they're accessible at all times.

 

Simple aesthetic mods for existing vehicles: make convertibles out of the Feltzer, the Super Diamond, the classic muscle cars. Remove the guns from the JB700. I'd love to see the Liberator (monster truck) modded out with different types of bodies, like the Duneloader or the Sandking. Reskin "rusty" vehicles like the Voodoo or BF Injection with "clean" sheet metal.

Libery City/ Alderney, gta iv/ eflc protagonists, interiors for unenterable stores, robbable fleeca banks, new phones, more dogs, new safehouses, heist outfits, native trainer, new guns/attachments, thermal scope, van w/ supergun from martin mission, ability to freely consume drugs/smoke, drug dealing, six star/ old wanted level system, more realistic police, vehicle interiors, vehicle speed/handling boosts, new heists, more clothes.

Open up Tequila-la.

Activate darts, pool in there, port Qube from GTA 4, port hotdog vendor script.

Import yacht interior from Max Payne and make it a property.

Grab a angle grinder/Blender/Max and experiment on vanilla car meshes.

Most probably.

 

Also, as GTA5 will probably get rid from that map size limitation, it would be sweet to drop Liberty City somewhere in Pacific or even Las Venturas from San Andreas.

It would look horrible, but assets from GTA5 to replace SA lowpoly models can be used.

Before I post a bunch more wishlist stuff, what kind of programming knowledge do people who make different kinds of mods usually need? I'm not really interested in visual mods, more interested interested in the stuff that has been mentioned in this thread as being related to scripts. I have no programming background and no time to learn (currently in law school) but I'm competent enough that I can go change some values if I know where to look.

 

 

You dudes who are doing prerelease preparations on mods, have you done any work on the Content Creator? I would love to see what kind of expanded parameters we might be able to add to our creations on PC.

It's not known yet, which language it will be, but i would suggest do some exercises in C++, this is the hardest one. But at least, you will have a idea what you're doing, it will be definitely easier and definitely be seen as improvement.

 

Also, check this out. See if you can make any sense of it.

Cool, thanks for that link.

 

A friend of mine mentioned that he thought it might be possible to write some kind of BMX grinding mechanic into the game, given that characters have the abilitiy to grab onto so many ledges. And that if that function could be mapped onto most of the game's ledges, the ability to grind a BMX on them could too.

 

Granted, he said that as something that R* should do, but maybe it would be possible

You should try yourself at GTA4 scripting. At least, it can be already done on PC.

 

Also, i would like to see Liberty City ported to GTA5.

You know what needs to be done?

 

The scene, where Michael calls Trevor a hipster during ride to Paleto Bay. The dialogue is brilliant. But it needs acting, animations of enraged Trevor in the car, threatening Michael.

 

Same with Trevor driving Patricia home. I turned on the dash camera and looked backward, i expected Trevors sobbing face, Patricia giving him a caressing touch...

Nope. Plain expression.

 

I hope they add it on PC version as new detail. If not, it should be done.

I'm Personally looking forward to the HD vehicle packs to come out similar to the ones in GTA IV. Specifically the Comet being modded to be a more accurate and Realistic 911. Preferably a Turbo S.

What's most important to me is being able to use all these cool mods in the Content Creator and then having the stuff we create actually be accessible to other players. either on Rockstar mod-enabled servers or independently

 

Having a flood mod for free roam is cool but being able to create missions and deathmatches in flooded LS would be even cooler.

It'd be cool if a modder made things from those popular DLC concept threads in the GTA: Online section, like stuff in the 80's DLC concept thread, the Tuner DLC thread, and that thread with the sponsored vecle idea. You know, the things people clearly wanna see in the game.

I'm hyped for the PC version for modding even though my laptop sucks eggs. What I want to ask is if mods that change the behaviour of the AI (mainly police) will be possible. In GTA IV I don't think there were any police-altering mods (prolly because the police AI was awesome). In a GTA V mod I want to see:

 

1 star result in at most 1 car dispatched instead of 2 and they walk up to you unarmed instead of immediately pointing a gun, and then use a tazer/nightstick if you begin to resist,

2 stars will be gun pointing and warning shots, and maybe

adding a 6th star that will dispatch military tanks, Barracks, Crusaders and Jets if you are airborne. Will any of this work?

 

Any obviously, fixing the sh*tty suicidal police NOS boost and ramming instead of PIT maneuvering, like wtf they run into your tank and explode... Also, a mod to fix the traffic deliberately running into you!!

I'd love mods for singleplayer, but darn I don't want any for the Online.
I'd just like pure servers with vanilla version of the game (what's the point of buying cars etc etc.. if everyone

has a modded game and can do anything, change everything even visually).

LC into V. Then you could finally have some use for your airplanes other than skydiving. I would also like to see vintage Dukes/Dodge Charger in game. other than that i think ill keep my vehicles vanilla.

EDIT: most annoying SP character ^^ (Cartman ftw!)

If the hairstyles are still heinous, I'd be more than happy to make similar-but-better counterparts for them. If the online characters are still heinous, then I'll be happy to retexture them as well. I'd also like to put in better make up and beard options. Basically, I just want to work on the aesthetics of the characters lol.

 

 

 

I personally don't like online mods (usually) but if its changing aesthetics for the better, I'm all for it. Maybe if someone made a new town/city, i'd be open to that as well... I'm practically drooling over a vast red dead redemption desert type map, or even a complete snow map.

speaking of RDR, I hope that someone is planning on porting the RDR map into GTA V's engine. It has so much open space that I wouldn't even mind it not having NPCs. I'd just like to go off-roading on it.

Hmmm, but the map itself is very last gen. I suppose it'd make a great base, and just adding GTA V next gen assets to it, like foliage, textures, water, etc.

 

Was the map ever ripped off of the ps3 though? From my understanding it was a difficult game to rip.
