Advice to people who are going to ask "Can I run GTA 5".

Take AC Unity. Run it. If you can, then you'll play GTA 5 no problem. :D

True. I doubt even Rockstar could mess up a port this badly.

Uncle Sikee Atric

It's clear from everywhere, not just this forum, that AC:U will stand as an epitaph for 'the' example of a bad port!

I think even Ubisoft have finally admitted they shouldn't have launched....

Now, back to GTA V system requirements please.

I admit it. Ubi should exterminate themselves after what they've did for Unity. Ubisoft Kiev especially. :p

It is even worse they messed up Far Cry 4 on PC, with a engine that was sort of working in Far Cry 3 after some patches.

Unity can surely happen when there is a lot of pressure to get ready before christmas, but this.

Unity isn't the first game they've messed up. I don't think there's been a release this year they haven't messed up.

Not on highest but you'll be able to run it. Probably low MAYBE medium on some depending how well they do at optimising.

I suggest you getting a 660 or a 750 / Ti. To get better performances.

Would FX 6300 bottleneck a GTX 970 mini much?

very little. actually it'll be fine

My laptop GTX 760 is about the same as a desktop GTX 650, and I can run Assassin's Creed unity on medium, full HD, 25+ fps.

So GTA V will definately run on GTX 650, most likely Medium settings, with some tweaking

Before doing such moves i would ask the experts such as Tomshardware,Overclock.net,Sevenforums etc.no offense to the guys here, but this is the last place to ask about such things.

3DM claims to have cracked Denuvo. If this is true then does'nt matter if GTAV will use it :D

How so?

It is still needed for online play.

If it has a noticeable performance impact you could make a copy of gta for just offline play without cloud sync, but is that really worth it?

+1

As knowledgeable as people some people are on here there's only so much we can do with so few people. Tech forums like Tomshardware or Linustechtips would be a better place to ask about bottlenecking.

@dizzee

Unfortunately bottlenecking is one of those things that isn't clear to a lot of people. There's a lot of misinformation on it.

The CPU will bottleneck it in some cases but not all. How much will it bottleneck it? I don't know. It's all dependent on the situation and the games you're playing. As was said above, going to a tech forum would probably be a better idea.

OT:BREAKING NEWS: Denuvo DRM has been cracked by 3DM.

Who cares? It's already confirmed to not be in GTA V. Only sh*tty games made by sh*tty companies will use it. sh*ttier than Rockstar, yes.

Hope they won't just hide the fact that they will use Denuvo and we will only find out about it when we install the game for the first time on launch day, that would be the worst nightmare, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it, something does tell me Denuvo has some clear contracts that prevent them from saying their game will have it until the official launch day to make sure their money is safely done and everyone has already been milked for the preorders at least. But Denuvo destroys SSD drives so that's a good thing it was cracked. That and the fact it takes around 80% of your CPU cores and power just to encrypt and decrypt the game to make sure its not a pirated copy. What the hell theses idiots were thinking while programming Denuvo, they don't care about optimization, performance or anything at all.

Me too. I'm happy they have done it. I was really worried because I have a dual core CPU and that would make the game a lot unstable. Thanks to such a sh*tty DRM.

DRM is always a buttkick for legit consumers.

Still the SSD argument is not really confirmed.

And 80% CPU power: way too much you estimated there.

I want to see proper benchmarks first before judging how much it really hurts performance.

denuvo already cracked out

This is more or less irrelevant at this point. If Denuvo is cracked there's probably a good chance you won't be able to connect to Online, I'm sure this is appealing to some but not all.

Also, if Denuvo is actually cracked, wouldn't there be scene releases of Fifa 15 by now?
