@DaRkL3AD3R LMAO there's no way it will require an i5 for minimum, just because you got a high end rig it doesn't mean they won't optimize it for lower spec PC's. And 1.5 VRAM requirement? LOL no!

Well,Max Payne 3 is superb game,it combines the great look with sweet gameplay, but because the game was released two years ago and it's world, although beautiful not as big as Los Santos,it's rather hard to compare these games, but still i'd rather compare GTA V vs Max Payne 3 as they're running on the same engine.,than this W_D.

A common question which arises in the mind of the gamers playing the new GTA 5 is, what are the expected minimum GTA 5 system requirements for PC?

Well, the answer is here.

First of all the rage/euphoria engine. The physics engine used for the latest version is the same as what was used in the previous ones, only with some alterations and improvements. GTA IV was not as good optimized as expected but Rockstar Games surely learned from the issues that appeared and the expected PC port will run a lot smoother.

The other factor is to be aware of the commercial thing and they need to sell a lot of copies. Taking this as a basement, the game needs to be created for the big part of gamers and their PC’s. Not every computer can handle new games with unlimited HD graphics. So they could make a game with much higher quality only if the targeted audience would have high end PC’s.

GTA 5 Minimum System Requirements for PC

1. Operating System: Windows Vista, 7 or 8

2. CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or similar

3. RAM: 3 GB

4. Hard Disk: 20 GB free space

5. Graphic Card: 512 MB Dedicated Memory

6. Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible

7. Supported Graphics Cards: Nvidia 9600 or ATI 4890 and up

Recommended System Requirements

1. CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 3.66GHz or equivalent AMD

2. RAM: 4 GB

3. GPU: NVIDIA GTX 580 Ti or similar ATI

4. Hard Disk Space: 30 GB free HDD

5. Sound Card: DirectX 11

6. OS: Windows 7 or 8 SP 1

Also, there is a scope for the users run games according to its system specifications and to adjust the game graphics to the level he/she enjoys. GTA V introduces a whole new world of gaming and fun.gta-2086329.jpg

Enjoy Gaming, Cheers!

I really hope the game won't be dx11 ONLY.

I mean it runs on xbox360/ps3 so there must be an option for dx10.

Requirements have to be realistic in order for them to make any profit from the PC version, you should check out the percentage of high end machines on steam. Those numbers are really not that high and how much of them would actually buy the game? So R* has to make their game playable for a very large spectrum of machines in order for them to take any profit.

And about last-gen/next-gen mode rumors?

You can choose to play it with graphics like 360/PS3 or with graphics like ONE/PS4.

If I would have to guess I would say.

CPU: Intel Core i5 750 or equivalent
GPU: AMD 5800 series/ Nvidia GTX 460 or higher
Memory: 4 to 6 gigs

I hope GTA V can run on systems with:

2 GB RAM;

512 MB videocard AMD Radeon 5570;

Any Dual Core CPU (Pentium D 915 / Core 2 Duo 4600 / Core i3;

Windows XP SP3 / Vista SP2 / 7 / 8 / 8.1 x86 / x64;

DX 9 / DX 10 / DX 11...

at least minimal settings!

I really pray and please R* do not following those annoying high system requirements released by Ubisoft for their new PC version of Watch Dogs - that sh*t simply WILL NOT WORK on systems with 32-bit Windows and even worse - it requires at least Quad-Core CPU which means Watch Dogs' systems requirements REALLY KICKS OUT any systems with Dual-Core CPU - in fact appears THERE IS JUST NO WAY to run this game on any Pentium D / Core 2 Duo / Pentium Gxxxx and probably even Core i3 CPU...

Please Rockstar: do not put similar dawn high systems requirements for PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5! Lowering systems requirements will lets more people to play your new awesome Grand Theft Auto game!

Just did a little research. GTAIV's system requirements were revealed over a month later after announcement, not sure if it's gonna be the same case this time but I don't think it will be revealed this week or the week after :/.

A better example would be Max Payne 3's though. I think they were revealed as the console versions released 2 weeks before.

Because we all know GTA IV ran so well on dual core processors amirite homie. And this game is 10x more complex and detailed than IV. You better hope your poorbro setup doesn't make you regret dismissing those specs when the official requirements get posted.

Either way, who the f*ck doesn't have an i5 minimum today? Seriously it's 2014 for f*cks sakes. Step it up or go home. It's morons running ancient sh*t hardware that holds back the possibilities of PC gaming by inflating the market's minimum spec requirements.

My speculation:

Standard 1080P:

- Core i5 2nd/3rd/4th Gen

- GTX 760/HD 7950

- 2 GB VRAM

- 8 GB DDR3 1600MHZ

MAX 1080P:

- Core i5 or Core i7 2nd/3rd/4th Gen

- GTX 780/ R9 290

- 3-4 GB VRAM

- 16 GB DDR3 1600MHZ-2400MHZ

- SSD harddrive

1440P, 2160P, 4K+:

- Core i7 or Core i7 Extreme 2nd/3rd/4th Gen

- GTX 780 ti SLI / /R9 290X CF / GTX Titan Black SLI

- 3-6GB VRAM

- 16-32 GB DDR3 2400MHZ

- SSD harddrive

7. Supported Graphics Cards: Nvidia 9600 or ATI 4890 and up

The 4890 is 3 times faster than the 9600.

3. GPU: NVIDIA GTX 580 Ti or similar ATI

There is no such card.

Recommended System Requirements

1. CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 3.66GHz or equivalent AMD

No such CPU exists.

GTA 5 Minimum System Requirements for PC

2. CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or similar

Have you even seen the trailer? Q9300 or even an i5 750 would be the minimum imo. Even GTA 4 has troubles running on Core 2 Duos, let alone the new one.

Terrible arguments u got there buddy, iv is a crappy unoptimized port that's why it runs bad while v was developed for ng and pc seperately from old gen. Also yes, there are a lot of people using lower budget pc's, intel still makes i3 because its good enough for midrange gaming. Anyways you sound so full of yourself that it's sickening, pc elitists are idiots.

First time they revealed it in 23 April...later in 28 may they updated it.

Rock Howard

I wonder if PC version will be on DVD or Blu Ray?

DVD, 100% of new games for PC come out in DVD's.

Most likely will be Steam, so no DVD nor Blu Ray :p

There will be boxed Steam-less version which uses RGSC.

Exactly. And that's the version I'll be getting. Call me old school but I still like a PHYSICAL COPY of my games. :D

while v was developed for ng and pc seperately from old gen.

I don't recall next gen consoles having core 2 duos.

iv is a crappy unoptimized port

Have you played any of the newer and more linear games for that matter? Just check out CPU utilization on the new Wolfensten while playing at the lowest settings on a Q8200. Let me save you the trouble. It's 95%. Same goes with Battlefield: Hardline, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 3, Assassin's Creed IV, Watch Dogs and pretty much any other recent game. There is no reason to believe that a brand new game with amazing graphics would run fine on a mid range CPU from 6-8 years ago. It's even laughable to suggest something like this.

Also yes, there are a lot of people using lower budget pc's, intel still makes i3 because its good enough for midrange gaming.

If you knew anything about hardware, you would've known that recent i3 CPUs are much more powerful than Core 2 Duos from 2007. The exact figure is 4 times.

Anyways you sound so full of yourself that it's sickening, pc elitists are idiots.

Well, that's open to interpretation. You sound like an asshole to me because you attack me for making a correction to someone's post. Yup very mature and not idiotic at all.

Watch Dogs isn't the best optimized PC game, as far as I'm concerned. I think V's system requirements will be fairly similar to the one of Max Payne 3, maybe a little higher since it's an openworld game. If you have no problems running Max Payne, you shouldn't have any problems running GTAV. Especially if you are able to run MP3 at middle settings.

While looking awesome, Watch Dogs runs pretty damn smooth on my system, actually.

Maybe requirements for GTA V (recommended requirements) is same with MP3 (High recommended system) https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200152456-Max-Payne-3-PC-System-Requirements

Windows 7/Vista (32 or 64 bit)
Intel i7 Quad Core 2.8Ghz or AMD equivalent
3GB System RAM
NVIDIA® GeForce 480 1GB RAM
or AMD Radeon™ HD 5870 1GB RAM

OR, the same requirements for watch dogs

Just refer to Max Payne 3 requirements, and then ignore Dual Core (Core 2 Duo) posts, Quad Core (Core 2 Quad) might still work

I think that this will be the improvements than x360 and ps3:

SSAO effects.

Better vegetation.

More objects density.

Better draw distance + Anisitropic level.

AA Aantialiasing presets.

More traffic and better A.I. of the traffic.

More peds and better A.I. of the peds this means more random peds on the streets, beach... etc and workers that picking grapes like in the first trailer, other workers doing their jobs.

So if these effects or most of them can be controlled from game graphic settings which means to set them off, low, medium, high and ultra maybe the minimum requiments will be DX9/10 and duo processors.

Man i doubt the game will require DX9 and 10...also you forgot some obvious things, such as reflections TEXTURES (well you said Anisitropic but nvm), shadows and (shaders i guess?) I need to upgrade my old i3 2100 and 4GB ram to i7 4770K and atleast 8GB ram to run new games..ugh
