Because of several reasons people have mentioned. Cost/upkeep/diversity/comfort/etc.

 

I'd ask how you could be so confident and flippant about it, but I think I know. Do you like.... mustard? ;)

If you have your own reasons, get what pleases you.

 

However, if you gonna decide based on input, ignore aaalllll of these comments and look at the poll results. The votes speak for themselves.

I'm going for a PS4 and that is from an Xbox 360.

That's what I did. I'm soooooo glad you can transfer your info cross platform, or I was looking to sell mine and buy an Xbone.

 

People can talk sh*t about R* all day, but to me, they're still one of the most considerate and forward thinking devs I can name.

 

 

Yeah I was extremely pleased that we can carry over our Online progress to whichever platform we chose. I probably wouldn't have bought GTA on the PS4 if that wasn't possible but since it is, it's made my choice all the sweeter.

At this point I'm honestly just going to buy whichever is cheaper.

 

Xbox has no exclusives that interest me, but I used to love Gran Turismo (before the xbox existed - old man!) so maybe it's time to go back to Sony.

Playstation 4 has more players and has much better reviews. It's cheaper too, and doesn't come with stupid kinect.

The PS4 controller is superior to the Xbox One controller and on top of that, Microsoft isn't a nice company. Remember what they tried to pull of at E3 2013 with their DRM policies? They've also still got a few of them, i'll be damned if they aren't spying on you all the time.

Xbox and PS4 are around the same price now. Also I thought kinect was going to be terrible but in fact it's brilliant. The PS4 controller always feels cheap and has no good weight to it.

 

Anyway my PS4 is a nice doorstop because it sucks.

Well..

Yes, a proper gaming PC might cost more than the PS4/XOne.

Diversity?

 

Comfort? You're not limited to your desk if you play on PC, neither is you limited to your couch if you're playing on your consolle.

I can set my TV to be the main monitor and connect a controller = I can play from my couch if I so desire, or I could sit by my desk. (no, I don't live in my parents basement, and no I'm not a virgin..). But I'm aware that this isn't an option for everybody.

Lol, the PS4 is winning the vote by 35+ votes...But get the PS4. The PS4 has an upgradeable HDD, the GPU has more power, and a lot of games run at a higher resolution on the PS4. So yea, Xbox One is for entertainment, and PS4 is for hardcore gamers, so i suggest the PS4.

 

Also, LittleBigPlanet 3 is coming to PS4 this fall! YAAAAYYYY I'VE WAITED SO LONG FOR LBP 3!! :D and dont forget that Sony's already planning to make a Virtual Reality headset for PS4! ;)

Another point about the sales is, the ps4 is outselling the Xbox by at least four to one currently (much like the poll). That looks like its going to increase further if the sales trend continues and as games age there just might not be anyone to play against on the Xbox.

You guys have short memories about what happened when GTA IV came to PC.

 

"I can't run this stupid game at more than 10 frames on my super leet gaming PC, cry cry cry".

 

I'm sure the old posts are still out there, or just go on YouTube and watch the GTA iv mod videos on PCs, looks like arse compared to GTA V on "ancient" consoles..
