So, Crackdown is finally back! When I heard the narrator's voice I instantly knew what was coming. The glory days of Crackdown 1 and 2 are back! Hopefully we'll get female playable characters this time around. I've been waiting a long time for a proper sequel (or reboot) for the series for quite some time, so needless to say I'll be tracking this game as it develops.

Anyone else pumped for this?

Homemade Dynamite

My dick was already out of semen from all the jizzing I'v been doing from all the other game. But the narrator's golden voice restored my 'capacity' and made me squirt it all out again!

...Thanks.

The first was pretty cool, it had some cool features not done before, and for very early 2007, that was pretty f*cking impressive. Plus, co-op, can't go wrong. I used to love helping my mates out, them getting in a car and I would throw them through stunt jump rings before they had enough skill to get them. Or throwing other racers in the river while my friend would get first place, the definition of co-op.

But the second game, f*ck me, they ruined it. I didn't even buy it and it pissed me off. Played the demo and my god it was awful. Ruined the already copy and pasted map with zombies everywhere, took out the awesome agency vehicles, like the monster truck that could climb walls and jump, and the bad ass sports car that kicked vehicles up in the air. A lot of the map was destroyed and not climbable. Rooftop races didn't have a retry option and you would have to climb all the way back just to redo them.

f*cking god awful.

The trailer for the latest one looked too much of the same, and a lot like the tron aspects to Saint's Row these days.

Until we see some decent gameplay. I couldn't care in the slightest.

I agree, Crackdown 2 blowed but the first Crackdown, I fell in love with.. I put some hours in that game. The online was a bit sh*tty or it always seemed like I'd have someone join my game that was probably 3yrs old and all they wanted to do was jump and throw sh*t rather than take out the factions.

I liked the little video presentation, goes to show that co-op will be a major role but until some gameplay is released or leaked, I'm on the bench.

The other crackdown games didn't have female protagonists? I keep thinking it did unless I'm thinking about another game.

The only game similar to Crackdown to allow female protagonists would be Saints Row IV.

Enjoyed the hell out of the first one back when it was new and had the chance to try it again when Microsoft had it in their Games for Gold program a couple of months ago. Never tried the second one thankfully since the minute it released I saw nothing but negativity.

This announcement got me stocked and I can't wait.

Crackdown is Sh*t imo...

...Get him.

I read that in the announcer's voice from the trailer.

Started laughing in the office when I should be working.

Here's something everyone here's gotta be able to relate to...

Announcer: "Those are not favorable odds, agent!"

*Go in there and kick literally everyone's ass*

Announcer: "You can flip a coin, agent!"

*Go in there and kick literally everyone's ass again*

Announcer: "This should be a cakewalk! I like those odds!"

*Go in there and get wrecked without lasting even 2 seconds*

Homemade Dynamite

I actually came here to ask a question: What does cloud mean for gaming? For a long time it was thought of as being "blast processing", but Crackdown 3 just proved it's more than that. What could this mean for the future?

"blast processing"

That's just some buzzword made by SEGA to advertise their console having somewhat faster processing speed.

Cloud computing is offloading the processing onto other machines - in this case, other Xbox Ones or Microsoft's servers. It means you can perform really intensive processes that your machine on its own wouldn't be able to do, in this instance being the destruction physics.

Yeah, but what does this mean for future games?Absolutely nothing. It could mean something if you had amazing internet and there was a server nearby.

For me it'd mean an extra 5mbs of processing power at most....yay

Yeah, but what does this mean for future games?

Depends if future games can utilise it. If they can, it means being able to do things far more demanding than possible on a single machine.
