Moth
That's suppose to be good looking? I don't really like it. Looks like a space ship. Oh and we can't have a discussion about good looking 90s cars without this. Svip
That's suppose to be good looking? I don't really like it. Looks like a space ship. I'm confused. What's wrong with looking like a space ship? Flachbau
I like the '96 Impala SS, but I now associate it with gang members (who inevitably ruin it with ridiculous wheels). I know a guy who used to own one of these on my street, beautiful car. He painted it matte black, and had some nice rims on it, too. Not the stupid looking kind. Sad though, he sold it I love this car

I completely agree, that's what makes Citroëns (up to and including the XM) so f*cking cool, they're so far out. What's the point of having a conventional car if you can have horizontal speedometers, monospoke steering wheels, and self-levelling suspension? epoxi
eroch
I wouldn't say all 90s cars were ugly, but it sure was the ugliest decade overall. The only other decades that would come close are early 1900-1920 and those don't really count.
Tycek
That's debatable as well. I would say that present day is the worst decade for cars, especially if we count the all-around daily cars. Full of cheap plastic, made in the same factories and using the same cheap parts as totally different brands (Aygo, C1, 106, etc). Almost everything looks the same, boring and uninspired. I am aware that limitations in budgets and global recession is forcing car makers to make some cut here and there, but for the love of God show some creativity. I suppose that since none of those cars are marketed in the U.S., I can't really talk. But here, where mostly you see Toyotas, Dodges, Fords, Nissans and Hondas, it's not too bad. ?!=+_-
I don't think so, not different from any other decade in my opinion where there's many cars I like or think are ugly from the past 50 years, I wouldn't even say there is a best or worst decade. You could show me all the 90's cars you don't like and I could easily show many from other decades I don't like and say that decade was so ugly. Also some cars can be so ugly but look so awesome like the countach, better than just being a boring shape that looks nice. Today for example has lots of ugly cars but I think they're interesting anyway because at least they're not bland. Cars are like music, just remember the good ones from each decade, it doesn't matter when it was from. Here's another of my 90's personal favourites, I think it looks nice and is interesting to look at with nice lines: I agree about the Alfa GTV and Fiat Coupe as well already posted

Carlover325
Concept cars usually end up looking ridiculous, and those fall into that same category. Funny how the Chevy SSR looks suspiciously like that Sidewinder. Seems GM "borrowed" the design. Well, it backfired (it looks like crap and not many people bought them). Carlover325
I still don't find any of those concepts attractive. The Vector is the best-looking of the bunch, and also the only non-concept. Ustanak
90s were dreadful even for the manufacturers that were known for making, or shall I say - handcrafting, masterpieces. Aston stooped a bit low with the V8 Vantage, Maserati and that hideous Ghibli were examples IMO. But it wasn't all bad, F355 is to this date one of the most beautiful cars in history. Diablos were iconic, and from the other side of the world, the RX7.
