Future map additions

Lets all assume we will see map DLC/Add On. We don't want a discussion IF it is possible. We want proof and evidence to why you think something will come as DLC.

so please, back on topic everyone.

 

Please let us know what you think what will come as DLC, also take the previous posts in mind, and let me know what you think.

Also, I forgot to mention:

 

If they add San Fierro, Las Venturas, and Red County, Paleto County, etc. (Which I'm really hoping they do) then why hasn't Rockstar said anything?

 

I understand it's Rockstar, and they're really secretive, especially when it comes to updates, games, etc. But wouldn't it boost sales? If I were Rockstar, I would confirm that the map would be upgraded at launch. By saying nothing about San Fierro, Las Venturas, Red County, etc. just baffles me!

 

Also, yes, I do know they confirmed the map would be getting updates, but why didn't they say what would be specifically?

 

Maybe I'm over-analyzing things here, or maybe I'm being really impatient on how Rockstar's announcing things, but, you get my point.

 

Side note: I can't wait to see San Fierro, Las Venturas, Red County, etc. With updated graphics

 

Rockstar is known for not telling anything. Hell, they didn't announce GTA V for next gen until 1 day ago.

See how the web is reacting now? Even big news sites (like the times etc.) feature the game.

 

This is a marketing strategy of R*. Each time the game is drifting "away" they announce something big.

 

Big announcements/releases since launch?

- GTA Online, the game just left the papers as the best selling video game of all time, then it jumped back in the headlines with GTA Online.

- First GTA DLC, a first, free dlc for gta was featured in all news sites. This was because it was the first, later didn't get featured (to much) .

- Spring updates (including heists), and the web went crazy. GTA V was featured all over the web.

- GTA V Next gen, the web is going crazy once again. Again pin pointing R* as the web. Hell, no one even looks to Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo anymore. GTA is back (again)

 

what will come?

- SP DLC,

- First Map DLC

 

this way, R* ensures that their game is the center of attention through out the year.

 

And yes. I can't wait to see them too.

Also R* has always been secretive about anything. They show the first trailer of GTA V. Then they are quiet for a year. yeah...

You're right, the web will go crazy. In fact, I take back what I said in my previous post. I want to be surprised. When current gen comes out, and I see San Andreas for the first time, I will literally cry in happiness.

 

I am already crying in happiness xD from what I saw this game is going to be more than A GAME. It's going to be the reason to go to the current gen for a lot of players.

 

(I can't wait till Xbox One releases here in the Netherlands (5th of September)

 

PS: This game is the only one who ever got me hyped AFTER I played the main game... xD

You're getting Xbox One? You should get PS4 or PC. Then again, I'm not going to be a "PCMASTERRACE ALOJDJRGIWKK" type of person about it.

 

Also, you're right. It IS going to be more than a game. It's going to be like seeing a country for the first time. Or re-visiting your childhood neighborhood after 20 years.

 

First about xbox one: All my friends buy one, that made my decision way easier. Also, I have had the Xbox (original), Xbox 360 and now the Xbox One. so yeah... xD

That said: Both consoles are beauties, and I prefer to have them both of course... Sadly my finances only give opportunity to one, and that's the Xbox one for me.

 

OT:

I played GTA V, but because of the new graphics, the all new dense traffic and pedestrians and options for map expanding... I see this as a new game, a new start for the GTA franchise. A true Next Generation experience.

I personally believe they will add Northern San Andreas first, but when? Hopefully launch.

 

Everything else will probably come as free DLC. But the thing I'm really excited about is the changes we might see to the map via mods.

 

There are a lot of talented people out there, and if they could add anything to the map, like say, the GTA SA grove street, then we're in for a real treat. However, I don't see this happening in online. Unless... Anyways I'm day dreaming again.

 

Dreaming is the start of a lot my friend, never forget that

 

Free DLC, yeah only the small packs, like weapons, cars and such. Which you still have to pay a price ingame for.

 

Map DLC won't be free, EVER. It is way to much work to sell for free.

I hope at launch, yeah who doesn't. Well, R* didn't show any northern part of the map in the Next Gen Trailer... so yeah... maybe we are lucky? but I doubt it

Yeah, it's best not to get my hopes up. But it's just so hard, because the fact it's on PC means that there's so much potential...

Yeah, it's best not to get my hopes up. But it's just so hard, because the fact it's on PC means that there's so much potential...

The main question I have is if they add Northern San Andreas, then why is the last gen version surrounded by water? They could at least have added a faint, distant blur of North SA, but then again, the hardware couldn't handle that.

to reach it... probably causing hardware problems etc. And the main reason they don't do that, is because they want to give you the feel that what you see, is what you get (they once said that... just don't know where to find the quote)

 

that everything you see, you can reach. each mountain you can go over and such.

You're right. Liked for super long spoiler. Anyways, I understand that. But even just a "slight" hint, something so far out in the distance, that it would be super foggy, but all you saw was a bridge, in the distance, the Golden Gate Bridge...

 

I would be in awe.

 

The spoiler was needed there xD to let anyone understand my point.

 

And there are hints. A lot. I have had a full list of it somewhere earlier in this thread xD

yeah so... It's not that it is a minor reference. Which is weird, because it if it was not R* intention to make Northern San Andreas, they never had to name Paleto County. So the only reason it is named... is that we will see northern San Andreas

Lester didn't SAY it, In online this is the description of the mission Bust Out (where you need to save that guy from the prison bus) which is a Lester mission. However this means that R* has written it themself. So it is official.

Well, this is a description, and because it has absolutely nothing to do with Paleto Bay, it only becomes more suspicious that this is actually a hint by R*

Also R* is well aware of this mission description... They didn't change it...

You mean Las Venturas and is mentioned way above here Would be awesome nonetheless. Would be great for heists.

There ARE going to be map packs, and yeah we will see LC in the future, I am pretty sure about that.

There should be a new additions to Los santos because this prob the lowest gangs factions I seen so far for gta and the gangs don't even shoot each other
