R* finally added charcoal/black classic Chucks after 6 long years ... And locked them to the Bugsters outfit. 🤦🏻‍♂️

FTFY

Why are we unable to play Arcade games while in Passive? What harm could we possibly do to others that require us to be non-Passive? Dumbstar logic at its finest.

Last night one of my daily objectives was to have a snowball fight. Ummm.....okaaaaay Rockstar. How the f*ck am I supposed to do that without snow?

I'd also like to add, during the entire time we had snow over Christmas and new year, I never once was given that objective.

Courtesy of the a*star!

This isn't the first time when something like this happens! Sometimes a part of the daily quest says that player has to participate in something, which doesn't even exist in GTA:O...YET.

I wouldn't be surprised if it would turn out that they very lazily pay attention to what they are doing when they make some changes in game.

Or when they tell you to do something that is literally impossible to do in your country. See: Spinning The Wheel.... while living in an unIslamic country (Libya). Can't do sh*te in the Casino sparing using the chips to buy stuff. And the Penthouse as well, although I'm not too sure if such thing could be blocked. Can't even Spin The Wheel, how am I supposed to "get addicted" from that?

A bit off-topic, but I'm curious, can people from these countries buy a penthouse?

Can't speak for others, but yes I can indeed buy a Penthouse. Actually have it and bought some decorations as well. Can also acquire Chips & buy clothes with those, but notmuch else.

That's more Rockstar logic. They don't allow you to spin the wheel, but they will allow you to spend millions on a penthouse.

Because shark cards.

I see how lucky I and others are for being able to play in the casino at all. I definitely feel for those who live in countries which make this dumb restriction, because how are you supposed to get addicted being restricted to 50k every 48 minutes? You can lose all that in a single game at the high limit tables! Then it's over 40 minutes of nothing to do. And not even being able to spin the lucky wheel is just dumb and to add insult to the injury. But I wouldn't say it's R*'s fault this time though.

I find it incredibly stupid how Lester fails to mention the nerve gas in the vault until the very moment we're in it, and thus we have no way to prepare for it whatsoever. The timer makes sense and is cool as a feature but not being able to prepare for the gas and thus be able to clear the vault if we're willing to break the disguise is such a bummer :/ I'd love this option even if was exclusive for the aggressive approach or the masks just extended the time you have before starting losing health

I mentioned this the other day, but gas masks are pretty much ineffective against gases containing nerve agents. It gets in through the pores in your skin.

Oh damn, I should have made some research beforehand this time 😛 Well that's some serious next level security right there then

Don't know if you watched Homeland, but there was an episode involving Sarin gas toward the end of season 5 (I think), and if they got it accurate, it looks pretty f*cking gruesome.

In F*'s defense though, this is entirely country rules stuff, they really can't do anything about it. Its entirely up to whatever country you live in to dictate.

I'm guessing whoever was tasked with taking sample pics for Social Club didn't get the memo as to the classes for some of the new cars, and had to guess... :p

Specifically, both the Zhaba and the Everon are in Off-Road, so should use the same McKenzie Field backdrop as something like the Hellion:

hellion.jpg

However, the Everon uses the SUV parking lot backdrop:

everon.jpg

rebla-gts.jpg

...while the Zhaba uses the same Fort Zancudo format as the Military class:

zhaba.jpg

apc.jpg

Either that, or the Everon was originally classed as an SUV, and the Zhaba under Military, only to get moved to Off-Road later...

Last night I was wondering why we had to do two separate missions for the Gruppe Sechs stuff in the Casino Heist. Why couldn't we just steal the truck and the outfits during that mission in the parking lot?

That's some pretty solid speculation, with evidence to back it up. I like it, and now believe to be what actually happened there haha ;)

I did a bit of research, and indeed it seems so. Gas masks would at best only delay the onset of effects as you wouldn't be inhaling the nerve agent.

Now I actually even think that the effects in-game are a bit of a understatement. Nerve gas is no joke and can be really devastating

What were they thinking?! Or should I ask with what were they thinking, because I have an impression that they definitely weren't using their brain when they decided to release a DLC, which in many countries is either restricted or completely unplayable, because of laws in these countries. I mean what's the point to release something, which many people can't even play properly?! I don't see how this would increase their fish card sales numbers, but I do see why this would rather decrease their fish card sales numbers.

P.S.

Feels like they were thinking with their a** instead of brain. 🙄

If you steal a van from Gruppe6, they will be looking for it, and you probably won't get very far at the casino. Instead it makes more sense to steal an random van, and make it look like a Gruppe6 van, including license plate. And then hope nobody at the casino knows that 2 uniforms have gone missing from the van that delivers their chips.

Seems to me that R* is going for the most-requested content over the years in an effort to keep players coming back to GTA Online as it starts to get really old compared to other new games.

The old "save the best for last" idea.

Yeah, but, if I remember right, the list of the countries, where this casino DLC is restricted, isn't short and that's why I think that it's stupid to release something, which many people won't even be able to play properly, especially when they try to attract more players to GTA:O. Not to mention that they made sure that sometimes one of the daily quest tasks is to do something in Casino.

P.S.

In it's core casino DLC is good, but, as always, a*star's greed has ruined it. So far only the Arcade DLC is worse than Casino DLC.

Heh - I only noticed because I was curious to see if the Zhaba had been added on Social Club, and instinctively assumed it was under Military, except ...nope: Off-Road. :turn:

The more I think about it, though, Off-Road makes the most sense for both - the real-life Sherp isn't a military vehicle, and while it'd be a stretch but not unreasonable to put a stock Hilux in SUVs (it'd make more sense in Utility, but whatever), the AT38 version is definitely an extreme off-roader.

So I guess the "Rockstar Logic" in question here is either an apparent lack of communication between the vehicle team and whoever took the screenshots, or whoever (possibly) figured that neither vehicle constituted an "Off-Road" vehicle, despite both being the definition of off-road vehicles. :beerhat:

Indeed. But spinning the wheel isn't gambling as its free. So they could easily let everyone do that but they choose not to. But they will allow everyone to buy a penthouse, because they know it will make them money on shark card sales. If they were serious about coinciding with other countries rules, they would have just blocked out all casino features.

not if you use the fire hose to fk with ppl, just like in GTA4 multiplayer :D, ppl would use the fire hose on other players that just came in the session and water them down until they leave

But why kick you out of passive for it? Just make it so that the water has no effect on players whilst in passive mode. For God's sake, it's a firetruck. It can barely make it past 100 mph, and it's roasted barbecue with one rocket. There is absolutely no way to you could "grief" with this vehicle. No fecking way.

Yea they should do that, make the water not affect the players while in passive. but of course rockstar is too lazy to do that. Good thing you said something about the firetruck as I was thinking about buying it someday. I might not now since it kicks you out of passive mode which is dumb.

I wouldn't waste 3 million dollars on the firetruck. You can just snatch one for free by either causing a fire or calling emergency services.

These are two Rockstar devs:

Dev1: Yo so what do you think about the clothing for this update?

Dev2: uhhh i am not sure, some armored stuff? Oh lets actually allow them to dress up as firefighters! Even keep the outfit at the end.

Dev1:Brilliant Idea, shall we just allow them to keep the SWAT outfit too? They are all emergency services.

Dev2: ARE YOU MAD?

True story btw.
