Also, my friends and I were playing one of the Wreck It races in Arena last night and the oval track was smooth as glass, unlike the tracks for the Hotring races. Tell me Rockstar, why did you make the hotring race tracks as bumpy as a teenager's face but made the Arena track perfectly smooth? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

If you die while trying to steal the briefcase from the hangar at the Los Santos airport, you're respawned without a vehicle in the middle of the Los Santos airfield. ZERO cover, a three- or four-star wanted level, and surrounded by LSPD and NOOSE who conveniently haven't despawned.

 

Go ahead; try and make a run for it to the hangar.

Trying to complete that one after the loss of your vehicle is waste of time. I usually take my loss, change session and start a client job. Altruist camp location seems to be more forgiving to this situation.

It gets even worse: you can lose the cops while carrying the briefcase, but if you die after that and pick the briefcase up again, you get 4 fresh new stars. I just tried this: take briefcase, lose cops, EWO (to drop the briefcase), pick briefcase up again, and got 4 stars again

Lighting gasoline on fire...

 

You shoot it with a flare burning at an average of 2500 F (1371.111 C for those who use a simpler measurement system) and the flare just sits there on top of the gas, not igniting it. 

 

Shoot it with a bullet which has been proven to not ignite gasoline and it goes up...

Pretty sure the reason for this is that when you go to your MOC, you are actually located in the docks, so when you get out, the game just puts in a random spawn location within the area where the MOC is located.

And I'm still majorly bummed you can't light gasoline by dropping a lit cigarette on top of it, but exhaust backfire can lit the gas.

Neither does NOOSE's own "SWAT" armored truck. lol

 

All I can figure is R* reckons players are going to steal and use them more frequently than NOOSE will themselves, so why bother with bulletproof tires?

It occurred to me last night that, although staffed by an NPC bartender, you can't order a drink at the bar near the large satellite dishes (Sandy Shores area).

 

Just one of those original elements of the game that's escaped the attention given to new content (e.g. drinks on your yacht, in a jet, biker clubs, nightclubs, at the casino)...

I'm all for a good gunfight but Strong Arm Tactics has got to be the most ludicrous and badly scripted mission ever. Shooting a few hundred armed guards and blasting helicopters out of the sky. Are the police not concerned about that? Is anyone going to be investigated? No? Nothing? Did nobody notice the mountain of corpses and burning helicopters? It just doesn't feel real.

The police knows it's Texans so they're like "Ah, let'em have fun. THey probably found oil again".

 

Stupid ass joke aside, I think the mission would've been even more obnoxious had we had to deal with NOOSE hanging on the side of Grangers shooting with 110% accuracy spawning behind us or having to chase airdropping cops headshotting Cheng for no reason other than to f*ck you.

You can't play pool there, either, even though there is a pool table in there, and just to rub it in that's one of the hidden playing card locations.

My friend and I tried to play darts at that location last week and I kept getting stuck in the load screen. Then when he backed out of the job, I would get glitched and couldn't move. I had to close out completely and go back into the game. We tried to 3 different times with me in different areas of the map and we had the same result every time, I got stuck loading.

Also: In Smuggler's Run source missions, you can destroy the vehicle that carries the cargo and claim/pick up the cargo on your person, but you can't do the same with just about any other non-Smuggler's-Run business, like CEO crates. Nope, destroying the vehicle will destroy the cargo with it.

That's because Smuggler's Run came much later. R* do add the occasional feature that people have requested, but they rarely change old content.
