We all know Rockstar have pretty daft logic, but what do YOU think the worst is?

 

Do we? I've yet to see anything resembling rational thinking from them.

 

Having to pay damages for self defense is by far the dumbest thing. Being rewarded for how long you take to finish a race would be second, since it basically means that the winner is awarded less cash / RP than the last place loser.

 

Speaking of races, I can't make any sense of the betting system. My bet sometimes gets cancelled, other times doesn't, but I can't find the pattern. I'd sometimes bet $10.000 on myself in a 7 player race and it would get cancelled, but accepted in a 3 player race. The fact that I only stand to win $4000 from that regardless of how many people are in the race is pretty dumb too.

Yeah, the betting system sucks. If I bet $10,000, the other(s) shouldn't be able to simply bet $100 and virtually have a win-win scenario in which they have nothing to lose and a tonne to gain. It bafflingly uses your cash on-hand for betting, too, so if you want to go big while everything is in the bank, you can't.

Shoot the piece of metal between the door and windshield or use the heavy shotgun (not the assault) and it'll take anywhere from 1 to 5 shots to make the door fall off.

You're telling me that the session details do not include how many players there are in it? You couldn't know that before you make me leave the current session?

No - puts me back into the old session, loading everything, then quits it, then puts me into a different session

"We timed out finding a session, so instead of trying again or putting you into your own that others can join later, we're going to kick you ALL THE WAY BACK TO SP."

 

Is there any sort of thought process that goes into the programmers' heads when it comes to this sort of thing? I know from experience it's not a piece of cake, but it's not hard at all to put lines of code into an order that makes sense.

For a bet to be accepted other players must bet also.

The fact that even though your out of the cops sight they still know where to look to find you, even thoughhhh your not in there sight and your wanted level starts going away, BAM they found you. Makes NO sense.

Why is it considered being a bad sport to destroy somebody's vehicle? You have to pay the insurance, so it's really not a big deal. I have never been to the insurance building to pick up my car because it takes less than 20 seconds to go into the quick menu and request your vehicle.

 

Impounding is also a vexatious feature. It's exciting the first few times to take your car back without paying, but it's honestly just a hindrance and adds nothing to the online mode.

I know. I can kill you all day long, but blow up your car? NOT ON!!

 

The person who lost their car doesn't lose anything, at all.

Dots on the minimap in freeroam is probably the dumbest idea they had. Like we wouldn't find each other without them. We'd just stand there going "Oh look at that, that's probably an NPC flying that fighter jet, strafing the beach with 30mm machine gun fire." Please...

 

Inability to NOT pick up a weapon you don't want. You can throw them away, but as soon as some scrub mob drops another one and you run over it, too bad, another junk weapon in your inventory that slows down how quickly you can get to the weapon you really want.

 

Stealth.

They add a stealth stat and suppressors for most weapons, then remove any and all use for them.
