Correct. That is why the "real life" argument does not apply - especially when you can store police/emergency vehicles in single player and not online.

True, but you can't compare single player to online. And I think people need to come to realize this. Just because it's okay in one, doesn't mean it would work for the other. Now I'm not disagreeing that we shouldn't able able too, I'm just trying to understand Rockstar side of the coin.

 

Also the only reason why I used "real life" as an example is because you can buy police vehicles but the decals get removed etc (decommissioned) So "realistically" no one would steal a cop car to "keep" it since they have GPS trackers on them anyways.

 

Real life plays a part in video games to a point of course. So it's not silly for someone to compare the two just because we can cause mayhem. After all the police still chase and kill us, correct? So it's not like we're completely getting away with anything.

Yep, Online is a really good concept. I've had a lot of fun in it, and I wouldn't say I'm an online hater but stuff like this made me stop playing it.

Can't and won't are.different things pal. Nobody said it can't be done, it just won't. They are not putting any effort more than the absolute necessary into platforms that they can't control. They can't keep hackers and modders out on last gen, and neither can Sony nor Microsoft

It reminds me of Driver 3 kinda, the lightest bump into an NPC vehicle and they instantly die.

I can buy a fully armed VTOL capable fighter jet, a fully functioning heavy assault helicopter, a heavy tank heavy APCs, Light Attack Helicopter and at least police grade transport helicopters. I can obtain from a normal store fully automatic automatic assault weapons, enough explosives to level the f*cking city, automatic assault weapons, well as heat-seeking anti anything missiles.

 

BUT GOD FORBID I OWN A POLICE CAR. AMATERASU f*ckING FORBID I HAVE A CAR THAT GOES WEEEEWHOOOWEEEWHO.

Why is it considered being a bad sport to destroy somebody's vehicle? You have to pay the insurance, so it's really not a big deal. I have never been to the insurance building to pick up my car because it takes less than 20 seconds to go into the quick menu and request your vehicle.

 

Impounding is also a vexatious feature. It's exciting the first few times to take your car back without paying, but it's honestly just a hindrance and adds nothing to the online mode.
