Unwanted, unavoidable and pointless gang attacks start at some of the airstrips when you collect your Pegasus air vehicles, smashing your health & damaging your chopper as you take off.

Brilliant. A yes/no option would have been nice.

 

Well you are tresspassing on gang teritory as a well know criminal yourself. I don't think you would get a "Hi, xXMLGPussy420SlayerMLGXx!" "Would you like to shoot at at us and/or get killed because of a few crates with ammo and $500?"

 

That's not a good excuse for the placement of some of these "gang attacks". They have one of these right at the main hangar at Sandy Shores airfield, so anytime someone wants to go there to get a certain air vehicle or something, they get forced into a stupid, boring, waste-of-time gang attack against their will. Hell, one time after finishing a mission, the game automatically spawned me right in the middle of a gang attack.

 

The concept of gang attacks are stupid, since the "rewards" aren't worth it, and the placements of some of them are even dumber.

True. I wasn't excusing or defending anything though. I was just making fun of R* logic and people complaining about gangs. For me though they are pretty fun. i was in blane after a sniper vs attack plane shoot out (i was using a sniper), i should mention my RH8 (my theam of the day) was inpounded. anyway i went to rob a car (sultan) useing the gun methord the guy ran to survive and a speeding black sultan ran in to him.

Uhm, In online when you use your phone you dont see your character holding it, while that happens in single-player.

Anyone know the reason as to why this is the case?

This bothers me so much.

You do when you're taking photos which is silly, why not the other way too

They probably kept it out because the animation for putting it away takes too long, and would f*ck you up in firefights.

Yeah, the character creator sucks ass in this game. Everyone looks the same and even the clothing options suck.

 

Not trying to sound like a fanboy here (I love both franchises) but this is another area where Saints Row absolutely, indisputably sh*ts all over GTA.

Got one better then that mate, Me and A Maned Wolf started Effin' Lazers, we open the doors to get in the car to drive to said jet fighters, "Mission Failed, A Lazer was Destroyed". Then you got Lost MC RIP, "Mission Failed, A Lost Was Killed". Also Hack and Dash 1st try, got stuck in the hacking animation, 2nd try "Mission Failed, Laptop has been hacked" (side note, the 2nd try was a lag feast.) 3rd try, spawn in "Mission Failed, the car was destroyed". Then you have Sh*ttop Fu*kble when there's very bad lag "Mission Failed, A Friendly was killed" yeah this game man. Edited November 3, 2014 by SuzukiBlaze

Yep, RR. I stopped using the AP pistol on the runner vehicles because the AP Pistol seems to somehow be able to detonate any vehicle in the game with two shots, so I used the Uzi thinking it wouldn't blow the vehicle up since it does like 0.001 pts. of damage per bullet, but it blew up after 10 shots. Unreal. At least in GTA IV you could literally see the gas tank hole on the vehicles, no idea why they removed that in this game.

I gave some asshole of a NPC the bird out front of the police station cause the cut me off, and joy of joys some Master Sargent Super Sargent Shooter Person of a Robo Cop comes (for lack of a better term) Blacking Maning his happy ass out the station and turns his pistol sideways and one hands it for a intsa-gib kill shot.

The superbrake ability of NPC cars, come on, my modified granger can't even move a car if I crash into it.

 

And the Riot Van, If I remember correctly it can take several sticky bombs but only one grenade (Or 1 grenade launcher round I think), why ? I don't know a lot about explosives, but I think C4 would cause more damage than a fragmentation grenade to an armoured car, but whatever.

So we head over there. Kill the fella easily enough.

That you have to hold SELECT (PS3) to use Quick GPS, and therefore can't steer for about a full second. I can adapt, but still this has made me crash many times.
