Capture actors respawning bugged now too?

Has anyone else made a capture with "stationary" actors (who don't stay put at all I might add) and is having them respawn all over the place?

 

I have a capture inside a sealed off area which the actors are a crucial part of but they keep respawning outside the play area, seems like this started after the "maintenance update" which screwed up the deatchmatch respawn points.

What might be in play is the rendering. Are you using props to seal off the area?

 

If yes, then the actors are ghosting through them. I've noticed that if there's no player close to an actor, they aggro from afar and start going through props. Same with traffic in captures. If you're driving far behind a pedestrian car on a highway and there's a ramp he'll go right through it.

 

If you're next to him, he'll take the ramp with you.

What game type are you doing and are the actors holding objects? I've noticed that in raid if the actors are holding capture objects and die, the game will respawn the actors and objects at the nearest street location and not at area they originally spawned in. Capture vehicles and actors may also spawn in the nearest street location if there's an obstruction in their original spawn location.

Yesterday I made a GTA Capture and I constructed a large Fort. Area surrounded by containers. I placed the actors inside. The actors kept spawning outside despite the fact that the Fort had plenty of space inside.

 

That answers your question then, the spawning IS broken.

Nope just normal armed actors, set to aggressive, range set to stationary, hostile to both teams, respawn set to unlimited.

 

Yes the area is sealed off with props, but they aren't ghosting through them.

Actually they were respawning right where they were placed before or in the immediate (less than 3m) proximity.

 

I went back and tried some stuff and it appears they are respawning now just like normal players, on the side of the nearest street.

 

This really sinks some of my captures now :/

Apparently setting them to aggressive makes them ignore their patrol range, which is what they generally respawn within. I made an "arena" and they tend to spawn outside of it, despite being set to stationary. I didn't have this problem before and they would almost always respawn in the exact location, but now they spawn in relation to your current position.

Right, I have noticed this as well....R* really introduced a whole list of problems with the creator in the "maintenance update" for PS3

The capture creator specifically says that the actors "will respawn in the vicinity of their original position". What is happening is not a glitch or a bug. It's the way rockstar has it set up. They don't need to fix anything....they just need to change the way it works. The actors should re spawn where you originally had them. That's what needs to happen.

Well they used to spawn either exactly where they were placed before or damn close before the update. So clearly they changed something either intentionally or unintentionally.

 

Bottom line is they need to change it back. Having them respawn like players (off to side of nearest street) makes no sense.

You can't place actors to guard anything if they respawn 50-150m away when a player is near their original spawn point.....or put them on rooftops, balconies, etc etc. They were respawning fine before.
