Also, who the f*ck is going to pay $30 for Jason, Predator, Tanya, and Tremor? But, complaints aside, this game is pretty damn fun. FFS each character is coming with like 4 new costumes for other characters too 30 bones is a good price. 5 bones for each character and then the other 10 bones is for all the skins. I feel at odds without Johnny Cage's kickboxing style, but overall the selection of characters and fighting styles is varied. A good launch roster. I hope they do a lot more DLC this time around, though. I also hope I get to see Skarlet again at some point (pre-patch Skarlet was my favorite due to the insane 60%+ combos I could pull off with her). Black's marksman variation is so sweet with the rifle, especially the one where he fires a couple of times and walks backwards cause it puts space between you and your opponent. His X-Ray is also sweet cause your opponents name is carved on the bullet he fires. If you fight himself, it says ME on it, lmfao a nice touch. Playing through arcade mode with everyone so I can give everyone a try. Ferra and Torr are fun to use, but since I don't like the characters themselves I don't really want to use them. Erron Black is my favorite character in MKX...and you're right his X-Ray is cool as hell. Nobody seems to use him online, just Takeda and Goro. But I guess $5 for a character with three variations, a entirely new moveset, X-Ray, costumes, brutalities and fatalities is "overpriced." Gamers are so ungrateful these days. So that makes a total of four characters, and fifteen costumes. Also didn't know that Kung Jin is a homosexual. The conversation with him and Raiden in the flashback hints at it because when he says the Wu Shi Academy won't accept him, Raiden responds, "They only care about what's in your heart, not whom your heart desires." I mean you have two licensed characters that are not even from the Mortal Kombat series itself (or otherwise guest characters). Jason and Predator must have cost a lot to get the characters into the game. So that could be one of the reasons why it's $30. Also, 3 variations for 4 characters, and some-many character skins. Jason may have no personality at all, but I bet his fatalities are going to be bad ass (or at least better than Freddy's). Not going to buy DLC since it's optional and I really don't buy it for any game. However, I will buy the game just to enjoy a good fighting game. At least, it ain't sh*t DLC like many other current gen games. Sure, it's pricey, but I heard you can play as the DLC characters in challenge towers (I think, in a certain tower of course, so I don't mind). People hated Freddy when he was announced, but then he became a blast to play as. Say it cost at extremes, $100,000 to make one character, It would only take 20,000 downloads for them to be in profit, Also this A day one update to Mortal Kombat X has made in-game gold, the currency used to obtain locked items in the krypt What makes this update even more suspicious is that it has been released after reviewers have been given their copies of the game to rate, In a post on Reddit, a user notes how the games difficulty has also been increased, and how completing certain boss fights now only rewards the player with 200 gold rather than the 2,500 gold that could be earned prior to the update. Another controversial DLC release is the games 30 Easy Fatalities pack, which allows players to perform the games Fatality finishing moves with a simple button input. I'm sorry, but anyone disagreeing is being delusional. Timings are super strict now, almost feels like Street Fighter in that sense. No dash cancel is a pain. Koins are a bloody grind, holy hell. Traditional Tower AI on very hard are insane. They read 99% of your inputs and blow you up, completely. Managed Rank 44 Global on Endless Tower yesterday. Overall, I like the game, I'll like it even more when I get fully comfortable with the inputs. Turning of negative edge and easy inputs has helped tremendously. The way the AI plays, everyone seems viable. Too early in the game's life to say anything, though. Kung Jin's homosexuality dialogue was awesome, I loved how subtle it was and not in your face "ZOMG RAINBOWS" kind of thing. He's not a token gay character and I respect NRS for that. Story was dull, I wish story mode characters were playable, they were just direct ports of their MK9 versions. Online is unplayable for me. It majorly screws up my offline gameplay. I somewhat agree with the injustice thing...hell, look what they did to Ermac (why does he fly now?!)....however, unlike injustice, it's a good game lol And I agree, the koin thing is beyond stupid, but thanks to Aby's fatality tip, I only have to worry about unlocking brutalities/skins in the krypt. Anyway, in case anyone's interested, this tells you how to perform all fatalities/brutalities, and tells you exactly where specific things are in the krypt and how many koins you need for them (so you don't end up getting stupid fan art or things you don't want).
