Mechanic ''i'm Otherwise occupied''

When i keep calling my mechanic to deliver a car it says everytime the same thing over and over
''i'm otherwise occupied, so call me back later. you heard?"'
It is actually really pissing me off right now. tried already the most things i can think about.
but this game is getting worse each patch. so anyone can help me out please?

Yeah sometimes he just won't bring you the goddamn car...

 

I don't know how switching lobbies or restarting your console may help but this never lasted long for me. Maybe he has a day off every week and for 48 minutes (1 ingame day) you are not able to get a car... would be stupid though.

I wish we had him back so he can pay for that.

It has been going on for a week now, so it has made me pretty mad.

 

Did you run out of money to pay for your apartments/ garage? I did, and that's when this glitch occurred.

After I made MORE THAN ENOUGH MONEY to pay off the debt, the TVs were able to be used, but not the mechanic.

I check the interaction menu's option to grab a car, but it is greyed out with text that says I "missed my utility payments" or something.

 

I did not. I hate it so much.

Did you run out of money to pay for your apartments/ garage? I did, and that's when this glitch occurred.

After I made MORE THAN ENOUGH MONEY to pay off the debt, the TVs were able to be used, but not the mechanic.

I check the interaction menu's option to grab a car, but it is greyed out with text that says I "missed my utility payments" or something.

 

I did not. I hate it so much.

Well since no one here is making suggestions tell me if this works. I can't test because I have been doing other things.

 

1. Dump all your money into the character NOT affected by this glitch (in my case, it would be my secondary.)

-do this by putting all your money in your main character into the bank, switching to your secondary, and then going back to your secondary and withdrawing everything.

 

2. go back to your main and do NOT get any money. wait for the game to tell you to pay for your bills.

 

3. put the money back into the bank from your secondary, then go back to your main. see if the interaction menu still says you haven't payed.

 

4. Report back here and tell me if this worked. Heheh.

It's not a glitch or a bug it's.a random occurrence that happens every so often. If it's do too not having enough funds well that explains everything..

If this is the case farm some deathmatches, or even go Rob a store....

 

Too avoid this set your self a minimum balance too keep at all times (works well in real life)

 

My minimum balance I keep is $1,000,000.00 just so I never have too farm for pre dlc releases.

 

Prior too that it was $750,000.00 with each tier I hit I increase my baseline by 25% works wonders.

 

If you are just starting out I would simply set it for $40,000.00 and never worry again.

 

.Personally set spawn point in your garage grab car go......no mechanic needed. If your call happens while in free roam join a contact mission. Then call mechanic He will not be busy this time. Hope this helps.

I have this problem now. In every single session the Mechanic refuses to pick up the phone. And don't say I'm not near any roads, because I am. I'm calling him from the sidewalks and from the middle of main roads, and he still won't answer. No matter where I'm calling from, he just ignores me. It basically means I have to run a lot, since most of the time the roads are empty. No cars to steal.

This. This is what happened to me. I bought a tank as an impulse purchase, and briefly ran out of cash. But now I have cash again. How can I fix this? Does anyone know? It's really starting to annoy me.

So I just found the answer to this problem.

 

1. This problem has 2 ways of action. The first one is because you might be away from a suitable road. This might glitch sometimes so just restart your system. The second one might be because you did not pay your mechanic. If it's this case, then follow the rest of the steps.

 

2. If you forgot to pay your mechanic (your account got to 0 dollars in both your pocket and bank) then you need to refill those sources

 

3. Get some money in your pocket and bank of course. Do some missions or sell a car, then go to an ATM (cash machine) and deposit a bunch of money in your bank. This is so he can get paid of course.

 

4. Play only in "Freemode" for about 30-40 minutes, depends at what hour of the day you are in the game. But be careful: DON'T PLAY ANY MISSIONS OR CHANGE SESSIONS, ONLY FREEMODE. 

 

If 24 hours pass in the game, you should not have the problem again. If the problem still occurs, then I have no idea how to solve it. Good luck!

If you check in the menu and go to vehicles, you can request from there, for me, the reason is stated, “You missed the last payment to your mechanic”

So if I run into this, I need to stay in the same lobby and pretty much wait for my utility and bill pop up windows to show up? approx 48 minutes to be exact then?
