Why aren't R* listening to the community?

From R* support site:

Petition to allow Police Vehicles in garage and bring in the LSPD Buffalo into Online - 1179 votes

The highest voted topic on the website and it was started 6 months ago. So my question is why the f*ck are R* not listening to us? Im no programmer but Im sure its just as easy to whitelist the cop vehicles as it was to blacklist them. There's also no logical reason as to why we should not be allowed to store them as it doesn't affect game balance or anything

MC DLC - I understand this could take a while to develop but maybe if they stopped giving us suits and tasteless supercars, they could develop a GOOD DLC pack. I know the DLC so far was free so I cant complain about it, but the Crew section of GTAF is literally filled with MCs and they could even make this a paid DLC and so many will buy it.

Blaine County Homes & Garages update

Again, I doubt this one would be hard since all the have to do is design the interiors of buildings.

Add to this any of the little problems you might have which still have not been fixed - e.g. passive mode (debatable), friendly fire, no cops settings etc.

Because 1179 votes isn't even a molecule of O in a Jupiter sized ocean-world filled with H2O.

Ahem? So ownership of police vehicles does not affect game balance?

How about the ability to "identify" which ones were being owned and controlled by players and which were the "actual" LSPD?

Yes you have your map in the bottom corner but I very rarely look at that for player blips I know my way about the game so well now.

My best gaming friend nicks cop vehicles all the time and usually turns up in one when I'm being chased or in a shootout

with the cops, in the days before you could not hit people on your friends list etc I'd be wasting him all the time.

Somehow I think Police DLC content will come at some stage though!

Blaine Country & Country garages should certainly be easy enough to do and will probably come as will new DLC maybe

even motorbike DLC which I would get straight away.

You need to realize it's not an issue of whether it'd be "hard to do."

The issue is that they're going to release things as slowly as possible as long as people are still playing the game, to prolong the shelf life of the stuff they've already paid to make.

Crunch McThornbody

We're a captive audience, they already got our money when we bought the game, leaving little incentive to re-code things other than eliminating money/griefing bugs and providing pre-planned DLCs with high price items so some players will spend a buck on in game currency.

they dont listen cuz they dont need too

with watchdogs disapointment GTA now look alot better

I am still trying to figure out what Watch_Dogs has ever had to do with GTA.

They have been listening forever. Just because they don't put in every single thing everyone wants, doesn't mean sh*t.

Where do you think all the fixes and little features came from? Or two apartments?

They are listening but like @snilsson said, they have a lot of requests to work on. It is weird that they ignore that ticket since it is one of the highest voted, but they did just implement the second apartment and no contact racing.

To those saying that 1179 votes doesn't represent the community, you need to realize that no one actually votes the tickets up so getting more than 100 is actually pretty difficult.

If you don't check your map for white dots, you cannot be a decent player. I'd say that makes you pretty bad at this game. What a shoddy excuse "I know my way about the map." yeah mate, so do I, I'm not f*cking checking it because I'm lost.

That's a pretty terrible excuse as to why you can't own cop cars. The same logic could be applied to every car off the street.

If you ever believe that R*doesn't listen to the community, run around in your apartment.

My thoughts on the cop car thing is that they'll probably unblacklist them at a future date- kind of like the Ratloader. R* giveth, R* taketh away, R* giveth back as a "favor".

They have been listening to the community since day one. Many additions or changes in patches have been because of community feedback.

It's like if they forgot about the $2k death fee or something
